Chapter 9:

Phoenixx's POV

"Phoenxx?" I hear Jc say as he comes into my room. I pretend I can't hear him even though I can. I'm actually sleeping and I really don't to wake up. I barely get dany sleep at night because I always wake up to pee or throw up. I'm very nervous to see how much sleep I'll get once she starts kicking me or even when she's born. "Phoienixx I know you can hear me. You're a light sleepier." Jc says as he walks over to my bed. I just keep ignoring him. "C'mon Phoenixx, don't make me tickle you." He says and I quickly open my eyes. I look over at him. "Don't you dare." I say in a stern voice. "Don't worry I won't.. Or will I?" He says laughing. "You better not." "I won't." "What did y-." I begin to say but I start to feel something come up my throat. I throw my blankets off of me and run towards the bathroom. Once I get to the bathroom, I open the toilet seat and start throwing up. This is my 3rd time today. Shit. I don't think i gold Jc about what the doctor said, but I really don't want to go to the hospital. "Phoenixx, how many times have you thrown up today?" Jc says as he walks in the bathroom. I'm about to say something but I start to throw up again. I flush the toilet and wipe my mouth thinking I'm done throwing up but I'm not. As soon as I stand up I start to throw up again. I go down on my knees and start to throw up. Okay maybe I do need to go to the hospital. "Jc take me to the hospital." "Why??" "My doctor told me if I throw up more than 3 times I should go to the hospital." "Okay. I'll tell mom and dad. Go to the car." "Alexis is gonna come." "Of course she is. Grab a bucket just in case you throw up on the way there." Jc says and I nod. I get up from my bed and find Alexis. Once I find her, I grab a bucket and go to the car. Jc starts to drive. As he is driving to the hospital, I throw up about at least 5 times before getting to the hospital. "Hi, how may we help you." "Yes my sister is 4 months pregnant. She been throwing up a lot. Her doctor back in LA told her if she ever throws up more then 3 times then come to the hospital." "Okay so you're not from here?" "No we are. We just live in LA. We are visiting family." "Okay, honey what's your name?" "Phoenixx. With two xs at the end." I say and the lady smiles and writes down my name. "Okay follow me." She says and we follow her into this room. "Doctor will be in here soon." She says as she leaves. About 5 minutes later the doctor comes in. "Okay, Phoenixx you're 4 months pregnant right?" Te doctor says as he sits down. "Yes." "Okay, did your doctor tell you back in LA that its sometimes normal to throw up during the whole pregnancy?" "Yes." "How many times have you thrown up today?" "About 8 times." "Okay Phoenixx lay down, I'm gonna do an ultrasound to make sure the baby's okay." He says and I lay down. I don't have to lift up my shirt since its a crop top. He puts the gel on my stomach and moves the wand around my stomach. "Okay. The baby is perfectly fine. But since you threw up 8 times today I'm admitting you at the hospital. You'll be here for a couple days." "How long? We are going back home to LA in 5 days." "About 2 weeks. We need to keep an eye on her and her baby." "Jc. Principal smith is gonna be mad. I missed the day before break and then I was gonna miss 2 days by now I'm missing a whole week." I say and the doctor shakes his head. "Don't worry Phoenixx. We are gonna call your school and tell them you have been admitted to the hospital I'm Texas. Okay?" "Okay." "Follow me, we are gonna go to your new room." He says and we follow him upstairs. Once we get upstairs I walk into this room. "Put this on, I'll be back soon." He says handing me a hospital gown. I take off my crop top and shorts. I put on the gown and lay down on the bed. I see Jc pull out his phone from his back pocket. "Jc, who are you calling?" "Mom and dad to tell them your staying here for two weeks." "Okay. Just don't tell Connor yet. I don't want him worrying about me." "I won't. You're gonna have to tell him." He says as he calls my parents. I look over at Alexis. "Alexis what's wrong?" "Nothing. I just hate hospitals remember?" "Oh yeah. So I guess you're no gonna stay here with me these next two weeks." "No Phoenixx I am gonna stay with you. You're my best friend. I'm staying here. I'll face my fear." "Thank you." I say as I give her a hug. "Okay Phoenixx. Can you please lay down for me?" The doctor says as he walks back into the room. I lay down and the doctor walks closer to me. "I'm gonna give you an IV and in the IV there's gonna be some medicine to control the vomiting okay?" "Can you put the IV in my hand not my arm?" "It'll be better in your arm because of the medicine." He says and I sigh. "Okay." I say as I left up my arm. "Wait don't do it yet. Jc come here!" I scream really loud. Jc runs over to me and I squeeze his hand. I feel needle go through my skin. "Okay it's down. The medicine might make you a little drowsy at first but that will wear off soon." "Okay." "Now I'm gonna put this heart monitor on your stomach to keep track of the baby's heart rate." He says as he puts a heart monitor on my stomach. He then leaves the room. As soon as he leaves my phone goes off. I look down its Connor FaceTiming me. Guess I'm gonna have to tell him that I'm in the hospital. I click accept and his face pops up on my screen. "Hey." "Hi." I say slowly. "Where are you?" "The hospital..." "What why?" "I threw up 8 times. I need to stay here for two weeks. I'll be fine. They just need to control the vomiting." "Okay as long as your okay." "Yeah.. Hey Connor I was thinking. I think I know what I want to name our daughter." I say and he looks at me smiling. "What?" "I wanna name her Zada." (Zay-da, or pronounce it like Jada but with a Z.) "Thats a pretty name but I was thinking about the name Tru." (pronounce it like true.) "I should be able to pick the name. I'm the one who's carrying her inside of me for 9 months the. I'm gonna have to push her out of my vagina." "I'm the one who helped create her." "Can you two talk about this some other time? I don't wanna hear my 16 year old sister talking about pushing a baby out of your woohoo and my best friend talking about having sex with my sister." Jc says as he walks over to my phone. Me and Connor just start to laugh. "Hey Connor.. Can I talk to you later. I feel sleepy." "Yeah that's fine. I love you." "I love you too." I say as I end the call. I put my phone down next me. "Hey Phoenixx, mom and dad will be here soon." "Well I'm gonna sleep. Wake me up when they're here." I say as I close my eyes and fall asleep.
