chapter 2: school

when i wake up the next morning Cassie is asleep in my arms i slowly slide out of her embrace and head for the shower. after i finish i blow dry and curl my hair  and put on light makeup and get dressed for school. then i go to Cassie's room and get her clothes out. i walk back into my room and place the clothes on the end of the bed.  " cas" i say "yes" she replies " its time to go to school" she slowly sits up and walk towards the bathroom i follow her and she sits on the sink while i get out the brush. i slide it through her hair getting out  all the knots. then i   push an alice band onto the top of her hair and put some lip gloss on her "beautiful"  i say. " not as beautiful as you she says"  i kiss the top of her head and walk downstairs to get breakfast started the house is empty it sually is mom works as and interior designer so she wakes up early to get her work done. and dad owns his own restaurant so he goes to the market every morning to get the freshest produce. i get out two bowls and fill them with coco pops Cassie's favourite. i  pour two classes of orange juice and get stared on lunches. just as i finish cass comes down the stairs and sits to the table  she starts munching away at her cereal and i join her  when were done  we go upstirs to brush our teeth.  I'm almost done when cas screams at the top of her lungs. i look over to see her mouth all bloody " oh my god cas what happened" " my tooth fell out"  she says " you scared me cas"  she giggles " come on i say" as i put our tooth brush away. " lets go to school. we walk down the street and  emily meets up with us. " so" she says " you look tired"  " i am" i say " were they fighting again" she asked "yeah" i said ' " did cassie hear " "yeah"
