LISTEN TO SKINNY LOVE BY BIRDY (up above) WHILE READING THIS CHAPTER
***TWO YEARS LATER***
***Grayson's P.O.V***
Today is Addalynn and Alex's Second Birthday. Two years ago on March 6, 2015 at 1:45 a.m. Alex and Addalynn were born. That was one of the best days of my life plus one of the worst. Today is March 6, 2017 and we are having a party for the twins.
"Hey Ethan, is Joely and Cass coming with Camryn?" I ask
"Yeah, they went to go grab presents for the twins and snacks for the party. They should be back soon thought. Is Jackson still coming?" Ethan says
"Yeah Jackson is still coming." I respond
After Carlie's Passing I Called Jackson to inform him on what happened. After he found out he flew here from Texas to come to the funeral. The funeral was very hard, they had me give a speech on how beautiful and how great Carlie was. It was one of the hardest things I have had to do in my whole life. These two years have been tough not going to lie. I just miss Carlie. I want my Muffin back.
I walk upstairs to Carlie and I's bedroom. Even though Carlie may be gone I feel like she hasn't left me or the twins. I go to the closet and bring down her memory box. After she passed I gathered all of her belongings and but them into a memory box, I usually go through the box when I have a hard time accepting she's actually gone. I just need to focus on the twins birthday today. I get brought out of my thoughts when the doorbell rings. I run down stairs to open the door. I open the door and see Cass and Joely.
"Hey Grayson, nice to see you again." Cass says.
"Hey Gray." Joely says.
"Hey girls come on inside, the twins are in the backyard if you want to see them." I say.
***1 hour later***
"Happy birthday to you!" Everyone sings to Addy and Alex.
"Blow our the candles munchkins." I tell them.
"DADDY! Wanna know what I wished for?" Addy asks me.
"Sure baby,what did you wish for?" I ask Addalynn.
"I wished for mommy to come see us as a pretty angel." She tells me
I start to tear up and say "Yeah, me too baby."
"Alright how about we go open some presents?" I ask the twins while wiping a few tears that found a way to escape out of my eyes.
"ME!" Alex and Addalynn scream at the same
"Ok! Let's go!" I say chuckling.
The twins were opening the presents and all I could think about was what Addy had said she wished for. I really miss Carlie. She was so special to me. I get brought out of my thoughts when the doorbell rings.
"I'll go get it!" Jackson says
"Thank you!" I say
"No probl- What are you doing here?" Jackson says while he answers the door. I get up to go to the door only to see Carlie's Mom and Dad standing there.
"Hello, how can I help you?" I say trying to be as polite as I can even though I'm really pissed they even showed up.
"We wanted to know if we could see the twins?" Carlie Dad says.
"Yeah, No way in hell." I tell them
"Grayson please I just wanna see what's left of MY daughter." Her mom says.
"Fine!" I huff
They come in and hang out with the twins. Addy and Alex seemed scared since they have never seen them before. Carlie and I agreed that they needed to stay away from the twins but when Her mom asked if she could see them her eyes just pleaded.
***3 hours later***
It's about 8 pm now Ethan, Camryn, my Mom and Dad, me and the twins are the only ones left at the house. Everyone went home about 15 Minutes ago (7:45 pm😹). It was nice to see everyone today. But now it's my turn to do something.
"Hey everyone, I'm gonna put the beds to sleep then I'm gonna go." I say.
"Okay, have fun and be safe please." My mom says.
"I will Mom." I respond.
"Come on Addalynn and Alex let's go lay down Munchkins." I tell the twins
"Okay, daddy." Addalynn says.
"I'm not tired though Daddy." Alex says while yawning.
I chuckle and pick him up with one arm then pick up Addalynn with the other.
"Come on guys. Wanna sleep in Daddy's bed tonight?" I ask the twins
They both just nod because they are so tired. I walk up the stairs, go into my bedroom and lay them on my bed.
"Goodnight Munchkins, I love you, Happy Birthday." I tell them while shutting the door
I walk down the stairs and yell "I'M GOING NOW, BE BACK IN ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF."
"Ok be safe!" My mom yells back.
I go outside get in my car with the supplies I need. I drive down to the Cemetery. I go and find Carlie's Grave. I then go sit next to it. I then take out the pen, lighter, and lantern. I take the pen and write on the lantern 'I love and Miss you' and sign ~Grayson ❤. After I write that I get the lighter and light the lantern. After I light it I lift it off my hand and while lifting it I say.
"I love you Muffin"
