Chapter 2:Something seems off

Something seems rather odd

Whenever we go trick or treating at different houses I'm the ONLY one that gets any candy like COME ON
people that's just plain rude

So we just decided to share with each other

But as we share I see mom with some scientist (I think) with a lab coat

I don't know what got into me but I took the clipboard he was holding I threw it at Mia (that's what I call her)
but she didn't catch it AT ALL

I looked at the clipboard and was absolutely SHOCKED

. . .

It says here that I am mentally challenged and that I have no real friends but illussions that only exist in my mind

I never understood things like this but I know one thing

Mia is not NOT an illussion,she's real mom look

But my mom looked at me with disbelief as her tears began to water from her pale face

I felt tears running down my eyes

I saw Mia running way past the neighborhood.I followed her

We ran past all the houses but instead of the warm greetings they gave us their eyes were cold
as if they knew that I am "mentally challenged" when I'm really not

Mia is real

I thought to myself over and over until I realized and I stopped in my tracks

No,no she's not

Mia is not real

Which explained why only I got candy,which explains why people look at me with disgust and fear written all over their faces

It explains it all but

How come I still see her now

With just that one bit of hope I chased after her

She slowed down and went past a gate with a sign The sign was old and I couldn't tell what it says
but I made out the letters D N G and R

I followed her

Into the wilderness
