Chapter 5

Chapter 5.

The old lady had guided me all the way into the plane to my seat. It was a seat next to the window and I was already drawn by looking out of it.
The plane was really big, it had 3 rows of chairs - the rows at the window sides had 3 chairs sideways, the middle row had 4 chairs and 40 rows long, if that makes sense - the seats next to me still being empty. Passengers kept flooding in and secretly I was glad no one had sat down next to me yet.

That was until two guys, one of them shoving a camera in the face of the other, stopped at my row. I saw them double checking their tickets and sitting next to me. The man with grey hair looked at me and smiled, I never looked away faster. If only he knew how scared I was for this flight.

"Is this your first flight?" He suddenly said to me when the engines started. He must've seen the terrified look on my face. I just looked at him, "Oh sorry, how rude, my name is Max and this is Nev" he told me while pointing at the guy sitting next to me. The guy named 'Nev' gave me a quick wave and got back to getting his laptop to work. "Hi" I said shakily, Mrs. Wendler had told me once to not talk to strangers. He was a stranger right? I thought to myself, I mean he looked nice and I knew his name.

MAX P.O.V.

"My name is Bella, yes it's my first flight. I'm pretty nervous" the small girl, named Bella I now knew, said to me. It almost looked like she hesitated if she should tell me her name. I wondered why she was flying alone, but wasn't sure if I should ask her. "What are you doing in Los Angeles?" I asked instead. She happily told me that a family was interested in her and she was going to go to a new orphanage there. She really sounded excited to go there, this made me feel some sort of pity for her though.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt sign. If you haven't already done so, please stow your carry-on luggage underneath the seat in front of you or in an overhead bin. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And also make sure your seat back and folding trays are in their full upright position.

If you are seated next to an emergency exit, please read carefully the special instructions card located by your seat. If you do not wish to perform the functions described in the event of an emergency, please ask a flight attendant to reseat you.

We remind you that this is a non-smoking flight. Smoking is prohibited on the entire aircraft, including the lavatories. Tampering with, disabling or destroying the lavatory smoke detectors is prohibited by law.

If you have any questions about our flight today, please don't hesitate to ask one of our flight attendants. Thank you."

The flight attendants announced. Bella was struggling with her seat belt, so I decided to help her. When I tried to grab the ends of the seat belt, she flinched. I looked at her but then clicked her seat belt close.

BELLA'S P.O.V.

Once Max had helped me with fastening my seat belt, the nerves striked me. I knew we were going to be taking off any second now and I was shitting my pants from the nerves.

"Flight attendants, prepare for take-off please."
"Cabin crew, please take your seats for take-off."

And then a minute later, I felt the plane starting to move. I was shaking from the nerves, tears in my eyes ready to spill. I can't explain how scared I was. The moments we got to go outside of the orphanage and had to go in a car where already nerve racking for me, let alone being on a plane alone. I tried thinking of something else, just everything except this. It wasn't helping.

Then Max grabbed my hand, "hey, it will be okay" he said looking me in the eyes, "just breathe." I did as he told. And by the time we where completely in the air, I had crushed his hand.

Hi guys,

Sorry once again for not uploading as much as I would want to, hope you like this chapter though. Max and Nev have entered the story! It will mostly be Max though since the story will be about Max and Bella. I tried to make it as long as possible! I will try and write a new chapter as fast and soon as possible.
