Claire's POV
*The alarm starts to ring and Claire gets up from bed*
Claire- "Oh man it's 6:00 am already! Ugh now I have to get ready for school and it's only Monday! I wanna cry but I guess I'm only living for Sab. My dream is to meet her one day which is what I'm trying to work towards"
*claire's mom walks upstairs to her room*
Mom- "Hey honey, good morning. I'm surprised you're awake so early!"
Claire- "What are you talking about mom? It's 6 am and I have to get up for school. How am I early??"
Mom- "Oh I'm so sorry honey. I forgot to inform you that school is closed today. They called last evening and said that today there's a meeting going on with the teachers so the kids don't have to attend school today."
Omg okay I am literally screaming
inside! Now I can finally take the time to practice singing to Sabby's songs in my room
Claire- "Ok thanks mom you can leave now" I said with a quick smile.
As soon as mom left I quickly took out my phone to text my best friend Alyssa.
Text message convo with Alyssa:
Claire- Heyy Alyssa. School's closed today! So what's up?
Alyssa- omg Claire you woke me up so early! And yeah I know school is closed today but can you let me get some sweet sleep now?
Claire- aww I'm sorry Alyssa. But you seem to be so upset at me :(
Alyssa- aw I'm sorry Clairy I didn't mean to. It's just that I've had a really bad night yesterday 😭. Can you come over to my house right now?
Claire- but I thought you wanted some "sweet" sleep
Alyssa- come on Clairy please come. Pretty please??
Claire- sure :) anything for my Ally
Alyssa- aww I love you ❤️
Claire- love you too ❤️
Alyssa's POV
*claire and Alyssa are both in Alyssa's
room. Alyssa runs up to Claire and hugs her as she enters the room*
Alyssa- "I missed you so much Clairy"
I start crying but I try to hold back some tears because I don't want Claire's eyes to start getting watery
Claire- "aww ally I missed you so much too. But what happened last night? And please don't cry"
I try wiping my tears away and start to tell her what happened last night.
Alyssa- "So you know how I really wanted to join the fashion club in school. I told my parents last night that I really want to be part of that fashion club because in the future I really want to be a fashion designer and all. Well you know that story right?"
*claire nods back recalling the story about when Alyssa told her she wants to become a fashion designer*
Alyssa- "And then I literally like went down on my knees and had to beg my parents to let me join that fashion club. But guess what?!"
Claire- "What?" I asked worriedly
Alyssa- "My parents started yelling at me and giving me this long lecture on how I should concentrate on my education more. AND THEN..... MY DAD SLAPPED ME! In fact he slapped me so hard that I thought my teeth were gonna fall off!"
I started crying again but then Claire helped me stop crying and explained to me that I should have some patience and try to calmly explain to my parents about how badly I want to achieve my dreams of being a fashion designer and join that club.
-- At Claire's home that evening--
Claire's POV
I feel so bad for Alyssa but I hope that things will be better for her soon. I know how confident and strong she feels about her dreams because I also feel the same way. I really wanna become a singer when I grow up and get to meet Sabby one day. I mean the hope and dream to meet her one day is what keeps me going every day.
*Claire's sister Liz comes into Claire's room*
Liz- "Hey Clairy. Whatcha doing right now? I'm bored"
Claire- "Hey sis. You came at the perfect time! I'm gonna try to sing one of Sab's songs right now. I'm thinking of singing why"
Liz- "Wow cool. Singing why is a great idea. Need any help or assistance with anything?" Liz asks me.
Claire- "Yeah actually I think you can help me by playing the guitar while I sing why just like Caleb did when Sab sang why in the YouTube video. You know how the music goes right?"
Liz- "Oh sure I'll try anything for my Claire" Liz smiles.
Claire- "Aww you're the best sister ever! I love you Liz.
Liz- "And you're the sweetest sister ever!" Liz says kissing my cheek.
Claire- "Ok then let's begin now"
*While Liz starts playing the guitar Claire starts singing why*

Claire- "But I hope that in the future I can actually become a really famous singer like Sabby. I wanna meet her and also go on tour with her"
Liz- "Don't worry sis just remember that you have amazing singing skills and you can become very famous one day" Liz says smiling.
Claire- "Thank you Liz. Thanks for always supporting me through the good and bad times. By the way you also have amazing guitar skills!" I laugh
Liz- "Haha. Your welcome and thank you Clairy" Liz chuckles.
After Liz left I tucked myself in bed and started wondering if my dream to meet Sabrina carpenter would actually become true one day. But even if I don't at least I can try to become a singer and I have my best friend as well. I hope Alyssa's dreams also come true and her parents let her join the fashion club. Ugh the struggles of life are so difficult.
