Liz's POV
English Class in College-
I hope everything goes well today for Aaron since it's his first day here after transferring. I have my fingers crossed so that we have the same professor, Mr. Harvey. He's a pretty strict teacher but I guess all professors have to be strict.
Mr Harvey- "Good morning class. I hope you all completed your essay on the book you were supposed to read. Let's start now with a fresh new semester"
Yes I really want to have a fresh new semester. I can't fail this one. Oh lord no. Then a girl named Alisha raised her hand.
Alisha- "Mr Harvey, what's the assignment for today?"
Mr Harvey- "Great question Alisha and we are getting there. Since today is the first day of the semester I wang you guys to write a 3 paragraph response on the growth of your last to semesters.
Alisha- "Ok is there an outline?"
Mr Harvey- "Yes. The first paragraph will be on how you did the first semester. Second paragraph on how you improved the second semester. The last paragraph will be on how you plan to make this semester's grades even higher. I'll put everything on the board in a minute. Any questions?"
I raised my hand.
Liz- "What if you failed the last two semesters?"
Mr Harvey- "Then you can come talk to me in five minutes Liz. Meet me at my desk in a few. Any other questions?" he asked.
Since no one else had any questions everyone started working. I started at my blank piece of paper for five minutes and then went to Mr. Harvey's desk.
Mr Harvey- "Sit down Liz. Let's talk. What happened?"
Liz- "I wanna do your assignment but I failed the last two semesters. What am I supposed to write about my failure?"
Mr Harvey took out a piece of paper and pen from his desk.
Mr Harvey- "All right. I think the best solution for this problem would be break down every paragraph and see the things you can include"
Claire's POV
Algebra Class-
I'm so excited to go to Algebra class today. It's the only class me and James have together. I feel so lucky to have two really close people with me in the same class together.
James- "Hey Claire" he sat next to me today since the person I sit with is always absent.
Claire- "Hey James" I replied.
James- "Haha I can see Alyssa from the back trying to poke you" he chuckled.
Claire- "Ally, stop it!" I whispered loudly.
Alyssa- "Oh yeah I forgot I need to give you lovebirds some space" she laughed and winked at me.
Claire- "Haha very funny" I said sarcastically and then turned around.
Liz's POV
Mr Harvey- "So in the introduction you CAN include how you did the first semester. And remember Liz.. it's okay to fail in life. There's always time to pick your self up" he started writing an outline for me.
Liz- "Thanks Mr Harvey. But what about the second paragraph?" I asked.
Mr Harvey- "Well there must have been some sort of improvement the second semester. I remember one of your English test scores was a 90. So I guess you can include that"
Liz- "Yeah I guess you're right. And then for the conclusion I just include my goals for this semester right?"
Mr Harvey- "Yup you got it Liz. You can do it. Now go and start writing you only have 40 minutes left" mr Harvey said looking at his watch.
I picked up the piece of paper and went back to my seat. I started writing and thought how Aaron must be doing right now. Hopefully we can meet in the cafeteria.
James's POV
So my date with Claire at Ricky's Cafe has officially started. We ordered coffee and a croissant.
Claire- "So James we couldn't really talk much in algebra today but tell me more about your life"
James- "Well I'll start off by saying that I love art and I love painting. Whenever I start to draw my mind just relaxes and it makes me feel so much better" I said
Claire- "Wow that's nice. But I like to sing and my favorite singer and idol is Sabrina Carpenter" she said taking a sip of her coffee.
James- "Oh yeah Sabrina Carpenter. I think I heard her song Why in the radio a few days ago. She's an amazing singer"
Claire- "Yup I love her so much and even met her in Charlotte! That was like the best day ever"
James- "Cool I wanna meet her one day too. But I also Stan Shawn Mendes. I'm part of the Mendes Army"
Claire- "Yess I love Shawn too. Some carpenters also ship Shawbrina" she chuckled.
James- "Haha nice. So what songs do you sing?" I asked.
Claire- "Well I sang why and my sister strummed the guitar for me a few weeks back. I also sang eyes wide open and on purpose last week"
James- "Cool. You're so into Sab's songs" he laughed.
Claire- "Yup I know. I love Sabrina too much" I laughed back.
BUZZ
James- "Is that your phone Claire?"
Claire- "Um yeah lemme check" she said looking down at her phone.
Claire's POV
Oh gosh Liam texted me.
TEXT CONVO WITH LIAM:
Liam- Can we meet right now?
Claire- uh sure I guess
Liam- ok where are you though?
Claire- I'm at Ricky's Cafe in Main Street.
Liam- should I pick you up? Let's meet at my Starbucks shop.
Claire- no it's fine I'll be there soon.
Claire- "I'm so sorry James but I have to go now"
James- "Where? Should I drop you off" he asked.
Claire- "No it's fine. It's just a place close by. Can we meet again tomorrow? I'm so sorry" I said.
James- "Sure Claire. One last hug?"
We hugged and then I left quickly so that Liam doesn't get suspicious of anything.
James's POV
I don't know why but I'm starting to feel kind of jealous right now. I feel like Claire went off to meet another guy. Should I follow her? Nah it's okay I don't wanna hurt our relationship. I'll try trusting her.
Liz's POV
It's finally time for lunch and I see Aaron sitting with some of his friends in in the middle. I walk up to him.
Liz- "Hey Aaron. How's your first day going?" I sat next to him.
Aaron- "Hey Liz. I guess it's going good and I made some new friends" he pointed to a few guys were sitting on his left side. They waved at me and I waved back.
Liz- "Nice that's great. So who's your professor?" I asked.
Aaron- "Mr Albert. And yours?" he asked.
Liz- "Mr Harvey" I replied.
Aaron- "Nice. I wish we had the same professor though"
Liz- "Same. I was just hoping you'd come in and sit next to me" I hugged him.
Aaron- "Aw Liz. I missed you too" he hugged back.
Liam's POV
Claire finally came into Starbucks.
Claire- "Hey Liam"
Liam- "Hey Claire. I was waiting for you. I missed you so much" I hugged her and she hugged back.
Claire- "So why did you call me?" she asked.
Liam- "Just casually to talk. Want coffee?" I offered
Claire- "A vanilla bean frap would be good"
Liam- "Sure. Here you go" I handed the drink to her for free.
Claire- "So how's guitar lessons going?" she asked.
Liam- "It's good and I'm glad cause I'm getting better" I smiled.
Claire- "That's great. Sorry I've been busy lately so I couldn't join you"
Liam- "It's fine. But thanks for coming. I think I need to get to work now though. There's a lot of customers"
Claire- "No problem. Bye Liam" I smiled and we hugged.
Liam- "Bye Claire. I'll text you later"
Claire's POV
I feel so guilty for not telling Liam about me and James. Also I feel bad for James because we were having such a nice time but then Liam ruined it. I think I should call Alyssa on my way home. She didn't look too happy at school today.
PHONE CALL WITH ALYSSA:
Claire- Hey Ally
Alyssa- hey Clairey what's up?
Claire- nothing much. I'm on my way home from meeting Liam.
Alyssa- I thought you were going out with James.
Claire- Yeah I was with him at Ricky's but then Liam called me and told him to meet him at Starbucks which ruined our date.
Alyssa- Aw it's okay. Did you ask to meet him again tomorrow?
Claire- yeah and he agreed so I'm good. But what about you Ally?
Alyssa- Well my parents found that I went to Charlotte with you instead of Washington DC.
Claire- Aw how?
Alyssa- I don't know I asked my mom but she wouldn't tell me who told her. And now I'm grounded for the week. I can't use my phone so don't text me.
Claire- Aww ally it's okay. But how are we talking right now?
Alyssa- i could only pick up phone calls. I can't call anyone though.
Claire- oh man I'm so sorry it's my fault.
Alyssa- no Clairey don't blame yourself. I love you it's fine.
Claire- Aw I love you too. Don't worry I'll ask my parents cause I think they told your parents. And if they did I'll tell them to fix everything up over the weekend.
Alyssa- Sure thanks Claire.
Claire- no problem. But I'm home now so I'll see you later
Alyssa- k bye
Claire- Bye love you
Alyssa- love you too.
