Draco's P.O.V
"Get back here cat!" I called, chasing the now familiar Maine Coon. Britannia, as (Y/n) called her, has avoided me ever since that night. And whenever I go to approach the cat, it runs. "Oh, come on! I need your help apologizing to (Y/n)!" I groaned while I stopped. Strangely, Britannia stopped in her tracks and turned around to face me then sat down. A few moments passed without the cat running.
I cautiously took a few steps towards Britannia, but she didn't bother move. I took a few more cautious steps, and she still didn't move. This pattern continued before I was kneeling right in front of Britannia. She blinked her large, blue eyes at me expectantly. Quickly checking for anyone else, and finding none, I took out a ribbon and a small, folded, square piece of parchment. Using the string, I tied the paper to Britannia's neck, which she didn't seem very happy about. Finished with what need to be done, I got up and left.
(Y/n)'s P.O.V
Having just finished getting in my pajamas, I sat down on my bed. "Are you okay, (Y/n)?" Hermione asked, looking up from her textbook. "I guess so, I'm just worried about Britannia, she's not back yet." I said, staring at the door that was opened just a crack, waiting for her to slide through. "I wouldn't worry too much, Hogwarts is very safe, nothing will happen to her." Hermione reassured.
Just as I was about to protest Britannia entered and jumped onto my bed with a meow. Hermione looked at me with an, I told you so look then went back to studying. Britannia meowed once more, and that's when I noticed the folded parchment tied to her neck with a silky, green ribbon. "What's that you got?" I asked, reaching over and untying the string, taking the parchment in my hand. Carefully, I unfolded the parchment to see neat handwriting. I guess it's a note. Curiously, I started reading.
Dear (Y/n),
Since I would never be able to say this in person, I decided to tell you through a not. I apologize I'm sorry I apologize, what I said was wrong. Mudblood is a very cruel and nasty term to use, and I never should have called you one.
Sincerely,
Draco Malfoy
There was several things crossed out, but that was fine, I was just happy for the apology. "What is that anyway?" Hermione asked, gesturing to the note in my hands. "Oh, it's nothing, just a note from my brother." I lied, folding the paper back up and slipping it into my chest(trunk thing). I then I laid back on my bed and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of good days to come.
