A long ride

To fast

" I am sorry to say but She has died."
I woke up like any day, I didn't want to go to school or do any work.
"Mom, do I have to go to school?"
"Jen, you have to, now can you please hurry!"
So I decided to make the best of having to go to school. I brushed my teeth and took a shower. I put on some black pants and a loose pink shirt. The shirt really brought out my color of skin. I have a light brown skin color. I run down to the kitchen when I smelled cinnamon rolls and fresh eggs. I knew right away mom and dad were cooking together.
" Mija, aren't you going to be cold?" Mom asked with concern
" It's October, not a good choice to wash your hair in the morning"  My dad told me.
My mom and dad almost always agree on everything. 
" Unless she is to impress someone"
" Be quiet Tony, you where dad's cologne just to impress Samantha. I still can't believe you two are dating."
Tony is my one year younger brother, who is dating best friend Samantha. I have known Samantha since I was in kindergarten.
" Anyway you two need to hurry, and Jenny be careful when you drive, ok"
" Yes Dad, no te proqupes"
I left my dad with a puzzled face. He knew very little Spanish, and my mom was fluent in Spanish and English. I learned Spanish because I wanted to know a language that I could share with my mom. My brother never took the time to learn.
"Let's go, you take forever!!"
" No I don't, Jenny, your the one that takes forever."
" I am ready our the door!"
" I am already in the car!"
And unfortunately, he was in the car.
" Ok, you won me."
" Yea, hey I wanted to ask you about another one of your friends?"
" Yea, sure"
"It's for Justin, how is Emily's health" Ohh, no. Not about Emily, I hate when people ask me about this.
" Why does Justin want to know?"
" Because he likes her"
" Oh ok" I said awkwardly
" Yea can you just tell me if she is almost cured."
Emily had cancer 2 years ago, and then it was gone. Thank God. It was amazing to know you weren't going to lose your second best friend. But she had to go to check ups to make sure she was completely health. She hasn't told us anything else, and when we ask she says she is ok and to not worry about her. But I still do.
" Well of what I know she is --BEEP" My phone interrupted me.
" Tony, can you check the phone for me, please?"
" Sure sis. Anytime."
He got the phone and checked it. All I herd was a loud disappointing gasp. I pulled over.  My heart was beating fast.
" Tony what happened? Please let me see the phone"
Samantha❤️❤️: Emily is at the hospital! I don't know what happened, but her sister just let me know.
Samantha❤️❤️: I am at the hospital. I got an excuse for you and me.
Samantha❤️❤️: She is in emergency. Please hurry.
I turned the car and went to the hospital as fast as I could.
" Tony don't tell mom I went this fast ok"
" Yea, don't worry just try to get to the hospital." 
We got there in about 10 minutes, I ran to the emergency room. As soon as I found her room, I went in and saw her. Her face was pale, she looked lifeless. 
" Em, wake up please... please talk to me." Her twin sister, Liz was holding her hand and crying. On the other side was her mother, she was crying and kneeling at the foot of her bed. When Samantha saw Tony, and hugged him and cried. I was shocked. I have never seen Emily like this, my tears started to fall out slowly and lightly. Then they came out faster and a lot more.
BEEP...BEEP...BEEP....BEEP... Be...........
The doctor and nurse came running in and told us to get out.
" Only family please." The young nurse said kindly
I was about to argue, but I didn't.
"Ok, come on Samantha and Tony."
We waited outside and it seemed forever. Then Liz came out crying but trying to keep a straight face.
" You guys can come back in, the doctor has something to tell us."
We got up slowly, both me and Samantha are holding Tony's hands.  After Liz went back in the room, I spoke.
" I have a bad feeling about this."
When we all got in the doctor asked us " Is this all of you that are important to Emily?"
" Yes." And her mother was right. Her mom, dad, sister, and brother were here, then her two close best friends were here and her one of her guy friend was here.
" I am so sorry to say but... she has died."
" What, Why?"  Emily's mother was the first to answer
" We are still unsure."
" What do you mean unsure how,... why do you not know!!"  I shouted
" Jen, calm down. They try everything they could."  Tony tried to calm me down.
Samantha started to shout to the doctor.
" You are a doctor. You should be able to figure something out, and find out why she died. Not just leave us wondering!!" 
After Sam and I shout it at the doctor, Tony told Emily's family and the doctor that we needed to go take a walk.
" Sam, Jen please both of you calm down."
"Tony how can you be so strong."
" Because my big sis is weak right now and my precious girlfriend is also weak."
" Oh Tony, I love you so much, even though you can be kind of annoying sometimes, but your such a gentleman."
" Thanks sis"
" That's why I like him. Jen."
Then Samantha gave him a kiss on the check.
" Ew, you guys don't do that in front of me. 😝"
Despite all of this there was something good.
