I watched as Jisung drew tiny circles on my hand with his finger. I wonder what happened to make him this nervous and jittery, but I was too scared to ask.

"If you're wondering why I am like this, you can just ask" He quietly said.

"You already know me so well" I weakly smiled.
"Why today? Why now Jisung?"

His eyes wandered, "Actually-" he hesitated, "I lied, I can't tell you"

I removed my hand from his grip, "What the heck Jisung, you can't just do all this without giving me a proper reason!"

"Im sorry... one day I'll tell you, I promise" He flashed a reassuring smile, "but for now, let's go to that haunted house you promised me on your first text"

I couldn't hide the worry and concern on my face but maybe it was best to just leave it alone. I sighed and nodded in agreement.

"I guess" I huffed out and slumped back into the seat of the train. I could feel that Jisung wanted to talk more but he didn't... for my sake.

"Jisung" I called his name which resulted in a hum from him.

"Hmm?"

"What was my brother like?" I proceeded to look out the window, at the distance.

"Why are you asking?" I could tell he was flustered at my abrupt question.

"I didn't get to visit him much after he became a trainee, I just want to know if he ever changed and you know- grew up without us" I shrugged.

"Well" He began, "At first he was really shy and hardworking, all we ever saw him do is dance his heart out and practice his rapping, he even helped out others in need of dance training"

I didn't even realize the bright smile curving on my lips, till I saw my reflection briefly on the metal near the window. That sounded like my Daniel.

After a while, we got close. I realized how loud he was and that he laughs at anything. We shared a lot of similarities and liked a lot of the same things. We became close really fast. I think Daniel was the first best friend I had.

I sighed, "I miss him..."

"Me too" Jisung patted my shoulder. "Never forget that your brother was a great person- his talent was as incredible as his personality. I never met someone so humble and caring like him"

Jisung hesitated for a second before shocking me with his next words.

"Until I met you" He whispered quietly. Then he turned the other way so I couldn't see his reaction.

I would be lying if I said my heart was racing so fast. I could feel like the blood rushing to my cheeks. I wanted to talk to him, relay that I felt more than friendship with him. But the words wouldn't come out of my parched throat.

"Last stop" The conductor said over the speaker.

"Jisung, it's time to go" I had some newfound courage to finally even tap him.

"I'll up in a second, could you leave me first?" He continued to avoid my eyes.

"Sure" I walked a few steps away before taking a deep breath, "I can wait for you- for as long as you need"

Why do I feel as if those words have a deeper meaning than just waiting on a train?
