Chapter Nineteen: I can't, You can't

Lolbit came on the stage with me and Ennard. "Darling, that was astounding! Exquisite, even! The kiss, my goodness! What an act!!" I hugged them and walked off stage, waving goodbye to Ballora and the Minireenas. Ennard looked down at the floor as we walked. "I'll take Ennard with me and get that leotard off, Melany. Care to join us?" I nodded my head and went to the Control Module with Lolbit and Ennard.
It took about 10 minutes for Lolbit and Yenndo to get the leotard off. After all that, I left with Ennard and headed to my room.
I flopped down on my red chair and laughed. Ennard sat in the pink one and blushed. The performance was a success!! I did everything right and I enjoyed it! "Ennard, that was amazing! I loved it!" I held his hands and smiled, trying to get a gurgle or a little smile, but... Ennard didn't do anything. I kinda expected it.
"I'll be in the bathroom changing my clothes, Ennard," I grabbed my sleep clothes and left for my bathroom. Ennard shrugged and looked away. I closed the door and got undressed.

'What the hell is wrong with that bitch, Mel?' James was back in action. I groaned and looked in the mirror, only to find him in it! I quickly threw my bra back on. "What the fuck, dude?! I AM getting undressed, you know!!" 'Oh! Sorry about that. Going back in the brain now.' James' reflection disappeared and I finished getting dressed. That was when I heard a loud whirring sound and a bump on my wall.
I ran out the bathroom and found Ennard holding his head and he glanced over at me. He punched the wall. "Ennard, what are you trying to do?! Are you okay?!" All he did was screech at me and ran out the room.

"Ennard, where are you going?!" I called out in the darkness. All I heard was his footsteps fading away. "No, no, no! ENNARD!!!"
I ran off to the office, checking the vent cameras for any signs of him. Then I heard a strange sound. "What... the hell?" I left the office and followed the sound. It was like metal being ripped from more metal. Then I saw a large door with glass windows. I peered into the window and saw Ennard by a control panel button. A large scoop-like machine came from in between some more windows.
Ennard was about to press a button. "Ennard!" I screamed through the glass, "What the hell are you doing?!" He turned my way and stared at me. Opening his mouth, no gurgles or screeches or whirring sounds came.
Instead...
He used real words.
"Melany... go away. I don't want you here." Stunned, I blinked twice and asked, "Ennard, you can talk?" "I said... go away, Melany," his voice grew louder. "Ennard, get outta there! Baby said the Scooping Room isn't good for you guys! Get out right now!" I grabbed the doorknob and shook it vigorously, only to find it locked on the inside. Ennard ran up to the door and bammed hard on the window, making me scream. "I TRIED TO HURT YOU BEFORE, MELANY! I CAN'T STOP IT!! I CAN'T STOP WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ME SOON!! YOU CAN'T EITHER!!! I'LL... I'LL KILL YOU!!!"
Heart racing and sweating hard, I whispered, "You... you sound just like James... from that nightmare." I stood up and got back to the door. "Ennard, I know you wouldn't kill me! What about the dance, the drawing you made, everything?!" Ennard slid his hand off the window and stared at me. "That doesn't matter anymore, Melany!" "The kisses? What about that? The whole screaming thing back then wasn't because of you! It was James!! It was accidental!"
Ennard opened the door. His head was down, but he stared at me with white eyes. He began to laugh. "Is this..." Ennard grabbed my neck, "... an accident? I didn't want to have to hurt you, Mel, but... you are the night guard, aren't you?"

He threw me to the ground and I coughed. "Ennard... I don't understand! Why the fuck are you doing this?!" He laughed and smirked at me. "Darling Melany Adams, you're so naive and dumb all of a sudden! I suggest that you start running, cuz we're playing a little game I think you'll love..." I got up and looked at Ennard. "Oh, no..." "Oh, yes," Ennard came to my face, "TAG, I'M IT!!!"
I ran out of his sight as fast as I could. Ennard lost his ever lovin' mind!! I could hear his maniac-like laughter, echoing through the halls. I ran into the office and closed the doors and the vent. "What is wrong with him?" I asked myself as I checked the monitor. 'I told you this would happen, Mel!! He wants to kill you now!!' "James, I don't NEED this!!!" I screamed, finding Ennard in the hallway by the office. I checked around the room for a weapon of choice. All I found was a bat. I took hold of it and opened the door.
"You're seeing someone else, Mel..." Ennard stepped in the office. I held the bat and looked away from him. "Rage takes over the dead, Melany!!" I dropped the bat and shook my head in shock. "You think me and James are dating?! We're related! I'm his little sister, dingus!!" "THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!!!" Ennard screamed at me and smiled again. "Oh well," he wrapped a long wire from his back around my waist and held me close. "I guess I'll just have to use your body, like I intended to do earlier."
He dragged me out of the office and headed to the Scooping Room. "ENNARD, STOP!!! HEEEELP!!! BABY!! BALLORA!!! HEEEELP!!!!" I screamed as I was being dragged. Ennard laughed again. "No one can hear you!! You're so cute when you scream in terror and yell my name, though. You were right about one thing, Melany...
