Nick felt the pressure that what happened to Matthew was all his fault. In a few hours, he would be at the hospital standing in front of Matthew's bed and Nick would have nothing to say but sorry. Their fight was killing Nick when Matthew could be the one dying. Nick kept watching the clock trying not to panic. When it was time to go see Matthew, Nick packed a bag of clothes for Matthew. He packed it in the car and headed to the hospital. All Nick wanted from Matthew was forgiveness, Nick didn't know what he would do if Matthew couldn't forgive him. He arrived at the hospital, parked the car and headed in. He asked the receptionist where Matthew Lush was and they said room 306, top floor. Nick headed towards the room slowly because he wasn't yet prepared to see Matthew. He got to the room. Nick looked at Matthew lying in the hospital bed, he had cuts all over his body and a broken arm. Matthew was still sleeping. Nick pulled a chair up to Matthew's bedside and waited for him to wake up. When Matthew finally woke up he just looked at Nick.
"Matthew, I'm so sorry," Nick said crying grabbing his hand. Matthew let go of Nick's hand. He stared at Nick for a few seconds.
"Just go." Matthew finally said.
"No, no Matthew, please," Nick said.
"It would be best if you leave Nick, just leave," Matthew said turning his head away from Nick.
"I'm not leaving!" Nick screamed. Matthew hit his call button and his doctor came in.
"Please get Nick Laws to leave," Matthew said.
"No!" Nick screamed as the doctor pulled him away, fighting the whole time to break free.
The doctor handed Nick to a security guard and he got dragged out of the hospital. Tears rushed down Nick's face as he was forced out of the hospital. He got in his car and drove back to Matthew's house. When he arrived he paced back and forth for a while, then stopped. He grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote Matthew a letter leaving it on the kitchen table. He gathered his belongings and left Matthew's house going home.
