Chapter 5

The day of the fight...

I'm biting my lip in irritation. Why? I could clearly see the arrogant beast smirking smugly at me. Argh, I just want to punch him! I'm already actually gutting him inside my mind.

Brother stood up signaling for the battle to begin. At first the battle was one on one but the furry beast opened that big mouth of his and told the others to gang up on him instead. Telling them that he'll beat them anyway so why not put a shortcut to it.

I scowled, glaring daggers at his back. He's sooo irritating. He did beat all of them though.

He roared victoriously. I smirked, cutting off his celebration.

"Don't celebrate yet. You still have to defeat me!" I said getting out of my seat. I attacked him continuously not giving him any chance to fight back. One kick sent him flying into the ground.

"Hei Feng! If you lose to my sister, my father won't let you marry her." Shuo Gang told him, making the furry beast stood up quickly attacking me.

I charged meeting him. Suddenly, sand was on my eyes. Unable to see him, he took the chance to trap me in his arms.

"You freaking beast! You dare to disrespect me by cheating!" I shouted, struggling.

He laughed. "Just give in princess. Don't worry . I'll take care of you." he said into my ears.

I cringed in disgust. "Over my dead body." I replied struggling more.

I'm already out of breath. Damn it, his hold is strong.

I hate this, feeling helpless.

"Let the princess go," I heard Yun Fei said, making Hei Feng and I look at him.

"Who are you?" asked the furry beast. Anger lacing his voice.

"Her manservant," Yun Fei calmly replied.

"And who are you to challenge me?"

Yun Fei smirked. "I know that I am not fit to be with the princess but if you, King Hei Feng couldn't defeat me. Then, you are not fit too to be with her ."

Hei Feng growled. Finally, letting me go. I breathed in relief, leaving. Not before punching the arrogant beast on the face though. I heard a crack satisfying me.

I went to my sit. Trying to calm my heart that's beating erratically. Happy that Yun Fei's fighting for me.

He won that fight. I still remember his smug smirk looking down at Hei Feng who was kneeling in front of him. I can't help but chuckle whenever I remember that like now.

I suddenly stopped laughing though. My body racked, coughing out flowers. It hurt. I can feel my throat involuntary clenching. The flowers were coming out.

A moment later, breath taking flowers were in front of me.

On the right side, there's a pink Camellia.

At the middle is a red Carnation.

On the left, is a red rose in full bloom with thorns included.

It's the one that I had a difficulty coughing out. Its stem hurt. Some of its thorns dug into the insides of my throat and lungs.

Gathering the flowers, I couldn't stop the tears that started falling from my eyes.

Pink camellia, it means longing for you.

Red carnation says my heart's aching for you.

Lastly, the full bloomed red rose... I love you, it says.

Why these flowers? Especially the first two?

It's because Yun Fei's not with me anymore. Our time in the bear tribe was my most treasured memory and at the same time my most hated one.
