Chapter 8

"Kaya?" Luke asks coming up to me

"Yeah?" I ask and he grabs my arm.

"Dance with me?" He asks and I shake my head.

"I don't dance." I tell him and he pouts.

"Correction. She doesn't know how to slow dance. Or dance at all." Ashton says laughing from behind me.

"Ashton! Be quiet." I say and then I turn back to Luke. "He's right though. I don't know how to." I say and he grins.

"Its easy. Come on." He says pulling my towards the dance floor just as a slow song comes on.

"Lucus." I whine and he smirks at me before putting his hands on my hips and I put my arms around his neck.

"Your not half bad." he whispers after a few minutes.

"Your just saying that." I say and he shakes his head.

"Am not."

"Are to Lucus and you know it!" I laugh

"Fine I was just saying it! Happy?" he asks and I nod.

"Very." I say and he smiles.

"I was wonder why you said yes to coming here with me." He says and I look up at him.

"What do you mean?" I ask and he shrugs.

"Everyone says I'm a bad guy when I've never done anything. And I know you've heard things because your brother told me." He says and I sigh.

"I'm not going to judge you by what I've heard about you. A lot of people say your really sweet. Others say other wise. But I wanted to make my own decision. " I say and he smiles at me.

"Have you made the decision yet?" He asks and I nod. "What is it?"

"Your an alright guy, Hemmings. I think I just might keep you."

*Luke P.O.V*

I walk over to Kaya and hand her a cup. She looks at me unsure.

"Its coke." I say and she smiles.

"Thanks." She says and I smile at her.

"Hey Luke can I talk to you?" Michael says and I nod at him.

"I'll be back." I tell Kaya and she nods.

"Did I do something?" I ask and he laughs.

"Told opposite. You bring out a side in her I didn't know she had." He says and I sigh with relief.

"But what did you need to talk to me about?" I ask and he sighs.

"Even though that is great and all. But I don't wanna see her the way she was when Mitchell broke her heart." He says and I raise an eyebrow.

"She dated Mitchell?" I ask and he nods,

"Sadly yes." he says and I frown.

"I was planning on leaving her any time soon." I tell him and he frowns.

"That's what my dad told my mom." he says and I sigh.

"Michael. Why would I leave her?" I ask him and he shrugs.

"I don't know." He says

"Well I'm not." I say and he raises an eyebrow.

"Why?" he asks and I sigh.

"Because I'm in love with her.
