"Run!" she shouts at me.
"Mummy?" I ask, confused.
"Run and don't look back!" she shouts again.
I watch as the front door bursts open and a scary, angry looking man with red blazing eyes bursts through the old wooden door. A sly, wicked smile tugs at the corner of his mouth and with that I spin around and dart for the back door. I step outside and I'm greeted by the cold night. I start running through the forest. There were big trees everywhere, it's snowing and the wind is blowing furiously.
I move quickly, trying to ignore my bare feet screaming at me because of the stickes and sharp stones I run over. I dart between the trees. I had quick reflexes for a ten-year - old.
I hear my mum's blood screaming yell for help. I stop running and hesitate for a few seconds but hearing someone behind me and remembering what mum said, I continue running.
"Get back here you little brat!" he shouts at me. I carry on running but I trip over a branch and fall face first into the Earth. I look up and see a man with a big scar running along his horrid face from the top of his right eye to the left hand side of his lips. He looked very strong and intimidating while towering over my small frame with his musculine body. He stared at me with bloodshot eyes.
"You can't out run me, your past, your demons." He reaches down for me and I start to scream.
I jolt straight up in my bed. I look around my dark room. I have dark gray curtains which my aunt says I'm a vampire due to the fact that they are always closed. I have a queen sized bed with black bedding that's sits in the middle of my room against my black painted walls. My desk is in the corner covered in my drawings and CD's. My room is rather small but I like it, it's my safe place.
"Annie time to get ready, your gonna be late for school!" my aunt shouts at me from downstairs.
Ever since the accident I've lived with my Aunt May. She is such a wonderful, joyful person that I love dearly. My Aunt May is single, she too lost her loved one that day. I can't help but wonder what has she done so terribly wrong in her life that she has to look after a burden like me and I also wonder how she can look at me the same way she did before that day, after all the accident was my fault.
"Yes Aunt May!" I reply.
'You can't outrun me, your past, your demons.' the words ring through my head over and over again. I've been having these nightmares ever since him happend. I try and set aside my thoughts and get ready for another day at the Prison Cell we all know as Blueberg High. Monday, another week at that terrible place with terrible people.
I had only one friend, my beast friend Andrew. We met in preschool when a bunch of idiots were picking on him for wearing glasses and I stepped in to help. The little fat kid called Caleb, aka Bully of the School, shoved Andrew onto the ground and when I told him to stop he looked at me and said: "Ooh, looks like nerdy here has a girlfriend sticking up for him. An ugly one too." His friends and him snikerd at me.He then called me 'girly', poked me in the ribs and with that I punched him straight in the nose. He fell to the ground and groaned in pain as a trickle of blood came out his nose soon followed by a whole stream of blood.
This time it was my turn to sniker. I helped Andrew up and while he dusted himself off I said to Caleb,"Maybe you should get a girlfriend to protect you."
