As we traveled to the area of the damage in the forest, my mind still buzzed with stupid questions that made my brain hurt.
A monster with the power of a human? How? Maybe I...no.
Monster SOULS aren't strong enough, those were the facts!
Maybe that changed?
I slammed into something hard and when I stumbled backwards, Papyrus's back was all that I saw. He glared at me over his shoulder before shaking his head slightly.
The sound of boots crunching the snow could be heard coming more near to where we stood. "Captain!" A deep feminine voice echoed throughout the Underground.
Undyne.
I sighed and gradually made my way towards my brother's side. She continued to inform us about the explosion but I just rolled my eyes. Been here, did this. Pap nodded at her words, seeming unamused before stomping towards the wall of guards surrounding the crater. He had no problem stepping in the piles of dust at the very feet of his co-workers. He mercilessly pushed each one of those in the wall aside, I flinched at the sound of metal from suits slamming against other metal suits. Why was he like this? Before, he was a bit more...willing to do the job? I don't know. Once we made it to the crater itself, I knew what I was to find there. In fact, I was starting to get bored. I knew what was to come next when my pinpricks wandered to what sat in the crater. He would be there, unconscious. His clothes in tatters. The only difference is that I would not be the least bit surprised. That's what I told myself before actually looking at him. I definitely wasn't surprised when I actually set pinpricks on him.
