It All Started With A Dream

Chapter 1

Nala's POV

"Nala, wake up hun." I groggily open my eyes to see a smile dancing along my Mama's lips. A huge smile forms on mine as well just seeing her so happy for whatever reason it is.

"Hi Mama." I jump up to give her a tight hug before realising I'm in the living room.

Must've fallen asleep watching Christmas movies.

My eyes fix on a small box in the far corner under my pencil drawing of a Christmas tree. I look to my mom in disbelief and she just smiles at me. "Go ahead baby." At this my smile grows even wider and I kiss her cheek Then run over to the small royal blue box. "Bring it over here so i can see your reaction!" I hear her sweet voice say before giggling and walking over plopping myself down on the couch.

  I remove the lid and my eyes bulges before a gentle flow of years falls to my cheeks. I state at the small brushes in silence before looking over at my mom. "How-"

"Shhh, they're yours now Nala, and I want you to never lose them okay?" I pull her into my right embrace and kiss her cheek again.

"I won't mama, I promise. Thank you!"

"Nala!" My head snaps up from my bagel to see Winter running towards me. She sits down next me and we give each other a tight embrace. "Hey girl!"

"Hey Winter! Where have you been?! How was your winter break??" She gave me a sly smile. "Oh you know.. cold." I roll my eyes at her for this.

No shiz Sherlock.

"No duh. I mean what did you do?? Anything new?" Her eyes lit up before she gave me the brightest smile with a small blush. She turned away trying to cover it with her grey sweater which matched her hair and eyes before letting out a small bubbly giggle. This causes me to give her a strange look before raising my eyebrows at her.

She finally looks over at me and tries to calm down. "Okay okay! So you know Zynn right?!" I give her a small nod. "Well this Christmas he came to my door step and it was snowing like crazy, so I tried to pull him inside but he said no. He pulled off his coat and dropped it on the flo-"

"Why would he do that?!"

"Don't interupt! Anyway, so he took off his coat then his shoes and socks and stood there he told me he would freeze to death if I couldn't be his, and you know how slow I can be at times so I didn't understand at first. Long story short I said yes, we took him let him stay over until the storm passed an-

"Now I'm the luckiest man on Earth." We both snapped our heads towards the voice and see Zynn walking over. He grabs her waist and kisses her cheek gently before sitting down and looking at me. Winter just states at Zynn with a love-struck gaze. I smile at this. Winter has been crushing on Zynn sinse middle school and now she's finally caught him!

"Awww guys that's great news! I'm so happy for you both!" Winter looks over to me with a sympathetic look.

"Nala, why won't you find someone?" I look to her with a questioning look before chuckling softly and shaking my head slowly.

"Winter I have no time for that! I have my studies to worry about."

"Yeah but.." I look up to see both her and Zynn smirking at me. My eyebrows furrow in confusion.

"What?!"

"We know the perfect person for you!" They both say at the same time.

My eyes bulge at this. "What?! No! I ca-"

"It's already set up for you two to meet!" Winter chirps.
