Audrey was gobsmacked, never before had she seen such beauty and magic in one room, floating candles burnt like embers, moving portraits on either walls; above it all was a beautiful night sky, reflecting the now calm scenery outside. Four elongated tables were at either side in pairs, one for each house she assumed, at the head of the hall were the teaching facalty. But most importantly of all, Albus Dumbledore, the man who was know for his greatness and his intelligence. Audrey was in awe.

So it began. The hat on the stool sang a song, too long for Audrey to remember, then one by one students were sorted; Mcgonagall held up her list once more, "Creevey, Dennis" Dennis sat at the stool for no longer than a second before it shouted, "Gryffindor!!!"
The table jeered and grinned, "Hatsman, Rochelle" it was the grumpy girl again. "Huffelpuff!!!" Actually smiling, she skipped to the Huffelpuff table. "Dursley, Audrey" Audrey froze, her heart skipped several beats before she placed herself on the stool, 'Hmm... Difficult, extremely so. You perceive yourself a Gryffindor, that does not seem to dwell well for you, Dursley. A kind, trusting heart... You belong in...' "Huffelpuff!!!"Breathing heavily, Audrey left for the Huffelpuff table, noticing Harry frowning at the Gryffindor table. As the feast began, a boy with inky black hair held his hand out toward her, "Gregory Smith, welcome to Huffelpuff!"
"Audrey-"
"Oh, Greggy! Don't scare the girl. You're a third year- probably terrified of you-"
"I'm not, thank you" the blonde was taken aback, "Got guts. I love that in Huffelpuff, I'm Kayla Abbott- my sister Hannah, Ernie and Justin. We're going to be your friends" Audrey shrugged,
"Well... okay."-♡-
Dumbledore raised a glass and announced the start of term rules, Audrey was hanging onto his every word, "I'd like to welcome Professor R. J Lupin, whose kindly accepted the role of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. Good luck Professor" there was an uproar of applause from many of the Gryffindors, and the Huffelpuffs, "He was in our compartment when the train stopped- truly remarkable" Audrey commented, "Isn't he great?"
"Absoloutely-"
"He's a little shabby though-"
"Who cares?" Audrey insisted, "He's an all-around great person from what I can tell-" then Dumbledore spoke, a grim tone lamented his voice. "I must also tell you- due to clear instructions by the Minister of Magic, Hogwarts, will until further notice host the Dementors of Azkaban. Until such a time that Sirius Black is captured, they will stationed at every entrance to the grounds and while I'm assured they won't disrupt our day-to-day activities: a word of caution-" Audrey was on the edge of her seat, her head peaking over to Dumbledore; "Dementor s are vicious creatures. They do not distinguish between the ones that hunt and the ones that get in their way... But you know- Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times. When only it remembers to turn on the light."The feast was extravagant, food laden on every golden plated surface, from full chicken roasts to wibbly-wobbly jelly and custard, "I think I'm in heaven" Audrey gulped in awe, Gregory chortled heartily ruffling Audreys hair, "Welcome to food heaven Audrey." Once all the food had disappeared, the prefect for Huffelpuff took the first years down into what Audrey assumed was the kitchen; a few dozen tiny people called house elves were working when they reached a row of barrels, "okay- remember to tap on this barrel to the rhythm of Helga Huffelpuff and you'll be fine. Follow me-" she coaxed us through a passage way, leading to the most gorgeous room ever. It was warm and welcoming, plants were singing and dancing in their planters and above the fireplace in the circular room, was a portrait of their house founder. "I love Huffelpuff."

Closing the door to her dormitory, Audrey heard the voices of squealing girls, laughing and talking, 'I've always been around people of different ages so... maybe this will be good' she thought, she glanced around at them: at least six other girls stared back at her, "Hi! I'm Liza Hatsman, this is my sister-" the girl half-smiled at her, knowing this was going to be a long year, "-Samantha Horkins, Georgie Bateman, Tahlia Romano and Rachel Macklin!" Liza's curled raspberry locks bobbed uncontrollably as she moved, "What's your name lovely?"
"Audrey Dursley" she beamed, "it's nice to speak to girls once in a while"
"I think this is a start to a beautiful friendship Drie"
"Drie?" Audrey chuckled, smiling through her laughing fit. "She gives nicknames to literally everyone" Rochelle moaned,
"Oh, come on Roshy! Let's have a first night at school party!!!"Audrey threw on her Disney pyjamas before having a pillow thrown in her direction, "So what do we do now?" Audrey asked curiously,
"Well. We do each other's hair and talk about that shirt you're wearing..." most of the girls furrowed their brows till Georgie's became a unibrow; Audrey glanced down too, "Do you not know what Disney is?"
"Dissss-neeee? What's a Disssnee?"
"Its a really cool film company! They make princess movies! Do you not have them in the Wizarding world?"
"I did. My dad's a wizard and my mama is a muggle, dad never understood the telly" Tahlia muttered shyly. As the darkness became inky black, the girls began to wire down, "Is... it going to... be like this every year?"
"Yeah, totally... We can sneak into the kitchens and invite the other girls from Huffelpuff too. It can be our girl night." Audrey was glad to be where she was right now, if she wasn't in Huffelpuff... There's no if anymore, she's a Huffelpuff and she's got friends and Harry. What could possibly make tomorrow a bleak picture?Maybe...
Weep! I've wanted to sort her into Huffelpuff for the longest time! It's all part of my plan. So lovelies, don't discourage me for making Audrey Dursley a Huffelpuff. As a fellow Huffelpuff I'm making it a priority to show Huffelpuff as the badasses we are!
