"jungkook! open the damn door!" taehyung yelled as he knocked harshly on the door, his knuckles starting to hurt but he didn't care.
jungkook slowly opened the door, tears streaming down his face.
"taehyung i—"
taehyung immediately hugged him, closing the door with his foot. "baby who hurt you? who did this to you?" the older boy tried wiping the youngers tears away but that was almost impossible.
"h-he didn't me-mean to tae. don't get mad at h-him. i remember how i-it happened." jungkook stuttered, biting his lip afterwards.
"just tell me." taehyung pushed.
jungkook couldn't help but think back to when jin hyung told him how pushy taehyung was.
jin hyung...
"it was a few days after you left that note at my house... i couldn't believe you wanted to be just friends. we were finally both happy and single and the night before we even kissed and it made me think you wanted to be with me. then i read that note and it hurt. i wanted to die tae but i couldn't kill myself, that'd be ridiculous."
jungkook paused and wiped his eyes.
"one night i was walking home from the park. it was dark and i was wearing dark clothes because i was sad and when people are sad they tend to wear darker clothes so i did. the cross walk said walk, i swear it did and so i walked. taehyung... i was crying and my vision was blurry and so i guess it said stop but i didn't think it did and no one stopped me."
the boy was in tears but still continued and taehyung stayed silent, not even thinking of anything to say.
"i heard jin hyung scream for me to move but all i did was stop and turn my head to look at him. i should've ran but it was too late and his car was so close. he tried to swerve but i was too close and the outcome was inevitable. he didn't mean to. he told me to move. its my fault for crying over you and its my fault for—"
taehyung pressed his lips to jungkook's and cupped his face in his large hands.
once they pulled away they rested their foreheads together.
"jungkook.. i don't want to be your friend anymore. i want to be yours and i want you to be mine and i want to be with you all the time. i can be here and help you remember everything and i can be here when you need to cry. i'll always be here if you let me. please baby."
the room fell quiet for a moment as jungkook tried to stop himself from crying even more.
"only if i don't wake up to a note saying you want to be my friend." jungkook smiled softly and taehyung pecked his lips.
"never again will i be that stupid." taehyung chuckled.
"that's kind of impossible." jungkook let out a giggle as the other boy picked him up and twirled him around.
"i love you."
"and im getting there."
