Nicolai's POV:
Viktor and I were sitting in the back of a silver Rolse Royce car, as we drove to the white house. I was so nervous to see Jessica and too meet her parents. I didn't know how things were going to play out, but I knew that I was going to be happy once I saw Jessica again. I am dressed in a black suit and tie, for the dinner with the president and his family. And the entire ride to the white house was painful. I just couldn't wait any longer to see Jessica again.
We turned into the white house driveway and were stopped by the gate. Security came out and checked every inch of the car, before we could proceed past the gates.
"Is this type of security mandatory in these states?" I asked.
"I am afraid so, your majesty." Viktor replied.
The car drove past the gates and up the driveway. Then, it parked and Viktor quickly got out of the car. He walked over to my side of the car, and opened the door for me. I stepped out of the car and buttoned my suit up.
A young man walked over to us and greeted us. He shook hands with Viktor and I, as he said, "Your majesty, it is an honor for us to have you as our guest. The president and his family will meet you in the dinning room. Allow me to have the honor in escorting you there."
After that, Viktor and I followed the young man inside the white house.
Jessica's POV:
I looked outside the white house window and saw Nicolai step out of the car. I quickly stepped back, letting the curtains go, as they fell back into place. I couldn't believe Nicolai traveled all of this way. And for what? It couldn't possibly be me. After all, I ran away from him once he told me that he was a prince. I am in quite the pickle. As much as I wanted to stay away from him, another side of me was pulling myself toward him. I don't want to stay away from him. I love him.
Just then, my mother walked into the room.
"You look beautiful, Jessica." she complimented. "That dress is absolutely stunning on you."
I looked down at my dress. It was a short navy blue dress with a gold design on it. My hair was brushed down and my makeup matched my outfit. I did feel pretty in the outfit and that is mainly because I actually wanted to look nice, since Nicolai was the one dinning with my family tonight. I don't know why I felt like impressing him, I just did.
"Thanks mom."
"Jessica, you look nervous. Are you?" she asked.
"No not at all. It's not like the man I happen to love is joining us for dinner tonight." I said sarcastically. "What gave it away?"
"Oh Jessica," my mom chuckled. "just be yourself and no one else. Relax and enjoy the meal. Try not to focus too much on the handsome prince."
I laughed. "I'll try."
My mom left the room, so she could prepare for the dinner with Nicolai. I remained in the room for some additional time. I was doing my best to prepare myself for Nicolai's visit.
