Chapter One: Something Hidden Within

Scans, scans, scans, and more scans. Whatever caused the red ranger so much pain wasn't natural. Tests needed to be done. It was assumed that the red power ranger keys might've caused it. The light from them and the teen's agony had happened at the same time. It was too much of a coincidence not to be true.

"Wow. The energy levels are crazy high." Noah stated.

Jake was beside him as Gia stood next to Orion. Emma sat next to the bed. Troy was laying down and sighed. Tensou was helping Noah look over the results. The moment that had happened only minutes ago made everyone scratch their heads. If it truly is the past Rangers, that means something horrible is upon them.

"So, is he okay?" Emma asked.

"I'm fine Emma." Troy reassured.

She glanced at him in disbelief. Noah looked up at her.

"Actually he's right. He's okay." He answered.

Emma raised an eyebrow.

"So him screaming on the floor in pain for nearly twenty minutes is okay?!" She wondered.

"You didn't let me finish. I mean he's okay, but not." Noah clarified.

"Okay but not? Bro, that makes no sense." Jake responded to that.

Noah sighed.

"Well, based on these scans, we can see that the glow that came from Troy is somehow bonding to him. And though the keys glowed the same time the pain had happened, I don't think it was because of them." He began.

"Yeah, but the last time he ever glowed was the time Robo Knight was evil." Orion mentioned.

"Exactly." Noah said.

"Wait, so your saying that whatever power Troy had to save Robo Knight is still in him?" Gia questioned him.

Noah shrugged.

"Could be." He answered.

"Okay so, if it saved Robo Knight, why is it causing pain now? It is good right?" Emma inquired.

Noah shrugged once more.

"Hard to tell." He replied.

"What else did it find?" Jake asked.

Noah looked over at his panel. He pulled up the full body scan.

"Hmm.....aha! See? There's a sphere in the pit of his stomach. It looks huge and it grows by the day." Noah discovered.

"How? It takes time for something like that to build up." Orion said.

"Yeah, and since it causes so much pain, he should of felt this a long time ago." Jake added.

"Your both right. It had to be in there for some time. And if pain like this comes with it, there's no way you could've dismissed it." Noah informed.

The five of them turned their attention to their leader. He was silent, looking down and playing with his hands. Gia walked over to him and sat down. He continued not to speak as he could feel everyone's gaze upon him.

"Troy? Is there something you want to tell us?" Gosei asked.

Troy still refused to look up. He only continued to play with his hands.

"How long has this been going on?" The yellow ranger quizzed.

Her friend dropped his hands to his side as he sat up.

"Troy?" Emma asked.

The red ranger finally let his eyes meet his friends. He sighed.

"Ever since the war." The leader revealed.

"Are you serious? Why didn't you say anything?! You could be dead right now!" Jake shouted.

"Because I didn't think it was that important. My au--mom wanted to take me to the doctor's, but I said no. It was never this bad unitl today." Troy answered.

"You should've told us." Orion stated.

"I know. I should've, but I didn't." Troy agreed.

"Why?" Gia asked.

The red ranger sighed once more.

"Like I said, I thought it was nothing. That's it. Guess I was wrong. I'm sorry." The leader apologized.

Emma sat on the other side of him.

"It's fine. We're just glad that your okay." She replied kindly.

Troy looked at her and smiled.

"Rangers, the past may or may not be calling you. There is a new threat greater than any other on the move. I don't know what will happen, but if anything does, your going to need these back." Gosei started.

The panel screens slid to the side. Each morpher was placed in them. Each member smiled at they immediately grabbed their device. The six of them stood in front of their guardian. Tensou rolled up against the wall.

"The world is in danger, and you know who needs to protect it." Gosei encouraged.

Six members. Six rangers. No way to lose.
