Air was hitting the man in the face as he sat up top a tree. The view of the woods was a sight. The light broke through the barrier of trees. It created a world outside of the city. So beautiful. And that's why it will be one of the first locations destroyed. It may be truly something great, but greatness is actually soon to come.
That's when he heard voices. People. What were people doing here? Obviously they lived on this planet. It's just, he didn't expect them to be here. Wait a second. This very location is not visited often. If he was here and now suddenly people show up...oh boy.

"You think whatever attacked us is here?"

"This is the last known location of any activity. It has to be here."

It? Geez, that's offense. The man made a face at the one in glasses.

"Okay, let's split up."

"I'll go with you."

"How many times do I need to tell you I'm fine?"

"Bro, just let her go with you. She's just worried."

"Well she shouldn't be. I'm not worth worrying about."

"...."

"Besides, I've done my time as a victim."

The one in red began to walk off after that statement. The team watched him go. What was that supposed to mean? All the silence stopped the leader. He turned to face everyone again.

"Are you coming or not?"

Pink shorts hesitated at first, but nodded as she followed. The others did their duty as they spilt up. The man watched them go off. He stood up on the branch. His balance was flawless as the group had soon disappeared. A small smirk was plastered on his face. The curiousity built inside of him. The red and pink heroes intrigued him. This led him to do some digging as he spied on these two.

Troy and Emma made their way through half of the woods. They had to physically and intensely search. It was some kind of force, and they already learned how to sense them. Last time, everyone was caught off guard. Not this time. This time, they were going to catch whoever was messing with their heads.
However, the pink ranger couldn't focus. The concern within her grew. What her fellow companion had clearly stated earlier worried her. What did that mean? Has something horrible happened to him in the past? What else could he possibly be hiding? This played with her mind for so long.
Gosei had chosen them for a specific reason. Though different, it brought them all together. Adversity and the ability to handle certain sitiations was why the new kid was picked. He didn't even beileve it could be him. That was perfectly understandable, considering they were all confused and in shock that day. And that's why it seemed so amazing to have this. To have this identity no one else had or knew.
And, the question plagued Emma's mind. What did her friend exactly go through that made him worthy? What was the reason he is the way he is? Jake at some point had said his buddy doesn't know how to have fun. Or that he's so hesitant to participate in activites. Maybe there's a reason. Maybe because what he had faced during childhood is the reason he isn't so open as everyone else is.

"Comtemplating?"

The phoenix looked up as she was face to face with her dragon. She shook her head. Troy sighed.

"What's up?" He asked.

Emma bit her lip.

"You." She answered.

The male ranger shoved his hands in his leather jacket forcefully.

"I told you, I'm fine." He reassured.

She began to hate that word. That fact it came out of his mouth every time somebody asked him how he was doing. I'm fine. Oh it's okay I'm fine. Yeah, perfectly fine. It was the only word that describes himself lately and it irks her deeply. She knows when something isn't fine. This is one of those times. Troy gave her a weird look, which caused her curiosity.

"What?" Emma wondered.

"Are you okay? You twitched a little." Troy pointed out.

The pink ranger blushed in embarrassment. She twitched? She must've not realized it. That's one of the ways to tell that she was bothered by something.

"Yeah. It's just-"

A silent vibration filled their ears. The rangers looked around themsleves to check. The leader realized it was his phone. The number pulled up as he groaned. Emma tilted her head.

"Who's that?" She asked.

Troy immediately shot his head up at her. He pulled his shirt down a bit.

"No one. Be right back." He stated.

He walked into a corner as Emma crossed her arms. This only increased her curiosity. What was with him? That's when a change in the breeze caught her attention. She whipped around to see. Nothing. However, there was SOMEONE there. And that someone just picked a few things up from this conversation.
