Kitty’s P.O.V

“Kitty get in, we’re gonna be late” Brooke said.

I stepped inside the car, and we headed off to dance class. After basketball practice, Brooke and I teach little kids hip-hop. It is a pretty fun job. We needed the money for college and plus, we like dancing and spending time with little kids.

“Okay kids, time for your break”

As the kids were taking their break, I decided to ask Brooke about her breakup. “So, how are you dealing with the breakup?” I asked.

“Good, were not talking. I learned that it gets easier. So, how is it with you and Dana?”

“What?!” I widened my eyes, “Never in a million years is that gonna happen”

She laughed, “So why does he keep annoying you?”

“I have no idea” I said.

“You know if a guy annoys a girl that means the guy likes her” she said.

“Yeah right, we both hated each other ever since we were little kids”

“Hey, you’re lucky” she said.

“How?” I asked. “Just because I knew him for a long time”

“No, it’s because while other girls are staring at him, he spends most of the time annoying you” she replied.

“You mean they want someone who would make their life a living hell?” I asked.

She shrugged, “I guess so”

Brooke and I stepped inside the school and walked down the halls, making our way to our locker. Every time I take a step into this f****** stupid school, I would put on a mask. I have three of them. Mask number one is, the fake happiness/smile. I put mask number one on every day. A lot of girls act so fake, and they try to act so sweet, when they’re really not. Why can’t people learn how to respect? This generation is so messed up. Mask number two is definitely the mask that you don’t want me to put on. I call it the ‘B**** mask’. I put that on when Dana or any other douchebags comes around.  I have to admit; sometimes I do regret the mean stuff that I say to Dana. He just gets on my nerves all the time. Mask number three is the real me, which I hardly put on. I only put it on when I am around Brooke. I just wish I could put on mask number three more than one and two. Mask number three just feels better, and it makes me happier. I took my history text book out and slammed my locker.

“Hey Kitty cat” Dana said.

Here comes mask number two

“Hey duck face” I said. Well, that’s all I could think of. And I also said that because he has huge lips.

He chuckled, “Really, that’s all you can really come up with? Duck face?”

“Actually, I have a lot of to say to you. When are you gonna stop being such a douchebag?” I asked.

“When I stop annoying you” he replied.

“And when is that?”

“Never, I enjoy it too much. Specially calling you Kitty cat” he said, poking my nose.

“It was cute until you started calling me that. It became annoying” I said.

“That means I did a great job” he said.

“Wait, why am I even wasting my time with you?” I asked.

“Maybe because I am awesome” he said.

“Maybe that’s what makes you a douchebag” I said.

The bell rang, and Brooke and I walked to class. “You know, to be honest with you, if you didn’t take Dana so seriously, maybe you would’ve find

him quite funny” Brooke said.

“You find him funny?” I asked.

“Yeah, sometimes” she replied.

“Well, you can call it funny; I would just keep calling it suffering through pain”

This is where mask number three comes on. History class is where I get to sit with Brooke, and far away from Dana.
