🌑🌑Corlines pov.🌌🌌
Walking into the office the assistant principal pointed at chairs for us to sit in. We had to wait to see the principle, only for a little while though. Atleast that's what she told us.
I don't normally like waiting unless I know I'm getting something, because I get bored easily then I'm irritated. Waiting sucks, but leave it to Kyle to be a gaint child whilst waiting out our punishment. He was sitting on the floor drawing. On. The. Floor. It was a whiteboard pen and he was going nuts. I didn't even know it worked the same on tile floor.
He had his tongue sticking out and eyebrows arched in concentration. He would glance up at me every once and a while then back down to continue what ever he was drawing. I leaned forward to get a glimpse of what it was, sadly he leaned forward over his drawing and looked up with a smirk. "Curious?" I settled back into the chair I was in and nodded, "a little, but it doesn't seem like your gonna show me."
He huffed and began to draw on the floor again all the while saying, "Well I'm not done yet." It made me smile with curiosity and amusment, i was actually starting to enjoy watching him. It was still extremely childish and he looked like the dork he was, only now he was a focused dork. He had a face of determination as if he were a child drawing a detailed picture for his mother.
After another minute of watching and him drawing, we were both spooked by someone walking into the office. We both glanced at the door opening to see a huge man that Kyle resembled in almost every way. I glanced Kyle's way and he just smiled like the child he'd been acting like. The man settled down and waved his hand at the door he just came through.
Another minute passes and then there's at least seven men in the office aside from us. All looked like they were boxers or wrestlers, but I had already made a guess as to what they were. They are bikers. Leather everywhere and the certain pants you would have to wear on long rides, kind of like the ones cowboys wear.
They all got settled down and relaxed until the first man, that I'm assuming is Kyle's father, pointed out at Kyle with a smirk. The others started to watch Kyle on the floor. Some of them chuckled and the rest looks at him fondly. Are they all his family? This would explain his size and muscle build. "Whatchya drawin' Kyle?" The words didn't faze him at first and they waited for a response.
"Somethin'" was all they heard. His 'father' decided he should try to talk now and honestly I kinda hoped he didn't. His voice came out scratchy but smooth and deap. That couldn't be Kyles dad, his voice is much softer than that. I would know, that's a thing about him I'm starting to enjoy a little to much. "You know why we were called in and we havent had to do this for a while so, you not in that much trouble." Kyle nodded to acknowlege what the man had said. Again a couple of minutes went by and then my relative came in.
My uncle looked tired and ready to sleep for hours on end. He looked around the room until he found me and started to walk towards me. I looked down feeling bad because the school called him while he was getting off of anesthetics. He had some sort of surgery on his eyes done and he can usually feel the pain through everything else so they drug him a little more than you normally would.
He grabbed my face like an angry mother trying to keep her childs attention. Inspecting my nose he pushed on the bridge and I winced, he huffed into a seat and started to relax. "Dad?" One of the men said which startled my uncle and made him look in his direction with amusement clearly on his face. "No, I'm his uncle, but in a way if I'm seen as a parent, I'm probably like a mother more than a father.
This was something that he was proud of. He had a bad past and didn't want that for me, so he changed that and began schooling me and mothering me. Treating me like his own. In a way, because of the adoption, I kind of am. The guy that spoke just smirked and tried to continue talking with my uncle. "Single?" He had curiousity along with the word and thought that he was slick with his words.
"Yup, but not necessarily lookin'" turned toward the male with a smirk he then turned back and started to get comfortable enough to sleep. Some of the other men started to laugh, whisper, and shove the one to talk with my uncle. Kyle glanced at me and let me sneak a peak of what he was drawing. It...sort of looked like....eyes. I'm not creeped out, no, I'm amazed at how detailed the eyes were. Even with the small glance at the picture, it was beautiful.
"I like them" I whispered just loud enough for him to hear me. I watched his face turn bright red and a sheepish smirk grow on his face. "You didn't see it all did you?" This time he looked completely at me, red faced and his smile changed to a huge grin. "Nope, I only got a peak"
"Good, 'cause I'm still not done, almost but not done."
