ILLUSIONS

The final bell signaled the end of the school day; Hatsu dragged himself out of the chair, grabbing his bag as he walked out. Hatsu earned himself a couple stares and laughs when he tripped over someone's foot near the door, stuck out like it was meant for him.

"Ahaha! Dame-Hatsu, you're so clumsy!"

Ignoring the comments of his classmates, Hatsu dusted himself off. This only angered the others more, as he wasn't one to show an expression. However, they stopped when they could see the male trembling. They thought they had won, but no. In fact; Hatsu had to grip his arm in order to keep in his annoyance. But dirtying his hands with the filthy blood of theirs wouldn't be worth it, not to mention the school's Hibari Kyoya to deal with. He bit his lip and stood up, this time successfully escaping the damned area.

After twists and turns of the road, the sea of the undead crawling towards him, and the unusual withered flowers, he finally reached home: his safe place. (By the way, he wasn't kidding about the sea and flowers, he simply cast illusions on his way home to 'spice up the feel') Hearing a click in the door's lock, it signaled him to go in.

"I'm home," Hatsu muttered to himself, though he had always lived alone. But in the next moment, purple mist flames had a complete coverage over the house. Two figures were now in front of him, looking happy from the sight of him. Hatsu then took off his shoes, leaving them neatly on the doorway.

"Welcome home, Hatsu." Said the woman who stood near a tall man, grinning from ear to ear. Her deep blue eyes seemed to bore into his soul, yet the aforementioned child didn't mind. His illusions knew him the best, after all. Looking at her midnight black hair calmed the boy, and he soon forgot about the things he was put through just earlier today. Just beside her, a man-- notably taller-- had a calmer expression and looked down to his son with a small smile. The older one ruffled Hatsu's hair.

He only stared at them.

They're still here, Hatsu persuaded himself, biting his lip as he did so, they're still living; right here, right in front of me. They won't go again, not without me tagging along.

Yet as he tried to reach to the two, the illusions faded from the lack of resolve. Flames now engulfed the empty room. Hatsu then winced at the throbbing pain that had come from his head. He must've used too much of his power for far too long. Living in a world of illusions took a great toll on his body once in a while.

Droplets of tears trickled down his face, Hatsu thought he was used to this. Used to it enough to be invincible from the pain.

But, he missed them.

He missed the parents he had until five years ago.

A/N: I'm using about four to five chapters to properly introduce the character, so it's all about Hatsu's background for now. Hint hint, Tsuna and Pineapple will probably appear soon. Along with a certain extreme lawn-head. Cover is put on hold so enjoy Kagehira for the time being~
