Eleven year old Samantha Jenkins, was abused, physically, verbally, emotionally and sexually, by her father after her mother died of cancer when she was eight years old. her father was arrested after her neighbour heard her screams one night when her father came home with a group of friends one night drunk. Now Samantha lives in an orphanage, goes to school where she is bullied by everyone but her best friend Cassidy. Samantha self harms, is anorexic, has bipolar disorder and hasn't eaten in a year.
