My New Life As An Idol

Chapter 1

Your p.o.v

  It was 2 p.m on a beautiful Sunday morning when I woke up and decided to walk to a new cafe that just opened up a while ago. I feel like I just needed to get out of the house for once since I've been in there for the past couple of days with my older sister, Jiwon.

  When I first walked into the cafe I looked around and was extremely surprised at the interior. It was very artsy, which is usually different for a cafe. I then went up to the cashier and ordered a drink and slice of strawberry cake.

"Hello, what can I get for you sir" the cashier asked while staring at me for a while.

"Hi can I get the F/d and strawberry cake please " I said snapping her out of her gaze "Of course!"

"Thank you ma'am". I then walk off to an empty table and waited until they called me to get my stuff.

  As I sat down I started to notice an older man staring at me for a while, making me sorta uncomfortable. What's with all the staring today? Is there something on my face or what?  I thought starting to get annoyed. I end up putting my headphones in and playing a few games on my phone until they called my order a couple minutes later. After getting my food and drink, I sat back down and started humming along to the music playing in my headphones.

I end up humming to Bts 'Butterfly' without a care in the world and focused solely on the song. As the song finishes I opened my eyes to take a bite of the half eaten strawberry cake in front of me.

  Out of the corner of my eye I noticed the same man that was staring earlier coming up to me. I started panicking and end up grabbing my stuff to get out of there. As I speed walked down the side walk back to my house I saw the same man following me still, trying to catch up.

"Wait up!" He yells to me as I turn around giving him a chance to speak.

He stops and puts his hands on his knees panting, "Jeez you're quick!" I chuckle and asked him why he was following and looking at me since earlier.

"Well you see, I'm apart of a company called JYP and earlier I heard you humming to a song and I thought you were really good! So I wanted to see if you'd be interested in auditioning tomorrow around 8 a.m to become and idol. Trust me son, it's worth it and y'know we could really use talent like yours."

I stopped and thought for a couple of seconds then answered "Sure, why not! It'll be a good experience to try and audition."

The older man then smiled and handed me his card, "Well then, I'll see you tomorrow, good luck!".

  When I was on my way back home I saw a park in the distance and rushed over to the swings. I just sat in silence and smiled watching 3 kids play near me.

"Mister, do you wanna play with us?" Asked one the little kids playing with a toy fire truck.

"Yea! Yea! Pweaseee Mister!" Yelled another one

"Sure! What are your names? I'm Kim Min-jun." I said kindly to the 3 kids.

"Well I'm Seo Yongmin! And I wanna be a firefighter when I'm older!" Said the kid in the middle with adorable dimples.

"I'm Seo Mina, I'm 4 years old and I'm Yongmin's sister!" The littlest one to the left said.

"Oh! And he's Kang Ryyun, he doesn't talk much but he's our best friend from school!" Yongmin said while Ryyun just smiled shyly but adorably.
