I know, I'm a day late, and I'm sorry. I was just really busy with homework yesterday, I hope you guys forgive me! :3

Alright, so here you go, enjoy!

"Dinah wants you to know that she's sorry."

Camila let out a surprised gasp when she heard Normani's voice behind her. She turned around to face the other woman.

"I didn't hear you approaching."

"Vampires are fast, and pretty quite when they walk", Normani shrugged. "Did you hear what I said about Dinah?"

The brown eyed woman nodded her head vaguely, avoiding the vampire's gaze. Talking about the accident was still weird for her, even after a few days.

"Where is she right now if you're not with her?"

"In our room, preparing for the hunt this afternoon. We're going with Ally and Troy."

Hearing about her friends going out and feeding directly off of animals' blood made the young woman cringe a bit. Normani must have seen how the subject of the hunt made the human uncomfortable, as she switched back to her mate.

"She's been beating herself up over what she did to you. She's worried the...incident - which, may I insist, was something that happened but was totally out of her control - might have severed your friendship enough to set the two of you apart."

Camila sighed, a small but sad smile on her lips. "I mean... She really did scare me, it hurt like a bitch and the red eyes thing was totally creepy but...Dinah is like a sister to me. We grew up together." The two women stood in silence for a moment, the awkward tension somewhat lessened but still not comfortable. "There is nothing in this world that could keep us apart."

The vampire nodded, a small sigh of relief escaping her lips before she set her face back into a carefully composed neutral expression. "I'll let her know."

The brunette offered a small twitch of her lips as an agreement, before she started walking towards the stairs to get to her room.

"Camila, wait."

She stopped in her tracks, waiting.

"Thank you."

The night was settling in outside when Camila saw the four vampires coming back from their hunt. She was sitting beside her window, staring at the shadows in the trees surrounding the mansion.

"It takes about a year or so to get control of your thirst and strength after being bitten."

Camila spun around in surprise when she heard the familiar deep voice right behind her. Lauren was standing very close to the human, her hand hovering over her mate's back. Too close, Camila thought bitterly. A small voice somewhere in her mince reminded her though. You know you want her closer.

"I guess that means I won't be spending much time with them for a while?"

It wasn't really meant as a question, but Lauren nodded anyway.

"Until you're transformed, that is."

The brunette quickly set her gaze back on the trees at that. "I told you what I thought about that."

The Queen took a step forward to stand beside her, both women facing the window.

"You did Camila, but it doesn't change the outcome. You and I are mates, that is not something we can change. I know you're stubborn, I know you feel like you would be betraying your people, but I also know that you understand that they have been wrong all along."
