Ok so its basically kinda undersail but instead its underwater they all are on ships and islands, Frisk travels around in a little dingy boat. each major fight has takes place on a pirate ship that each major fighting character owns. However Asgore is on an Isalnd after his ship being taken by Toriel because of his Idea to help monster kind to be freed and be allowed back on the mainland. Mettaton's ship was taken under by mutiny from Burgerpants and instead of fighting the fallen star you have to help him regain his ship. Even though he has had a major downgrade from captain to cabin boy by BP. Undyne is the only major fight that doesn't have a ship, instead she is more of a siren that you cant allow her to drown you. Sans and Papyrus share a ship, and for the Sans fight the Sans and Papyrus ship is very beaten and broken down but you could take it down with one hit still. If you choose to genocide, once a character with a ship is dead, their ship also gets destroyed.

The Islands:
Each island has different characteristics corresponding on what monsters they harbour. Or um maybe i mean that the other way around
Anyways
The Lava Island has an active volcano bound to blow any minute and various hot springs and lava pools around the island Alphy's lab can be found in the southern rejoin of the island. 
The Water Island is complete with caves, lagoons, ponds, rivers, and bioluminescent organisms, Undyne hangs around this island and an underwater cave near a cliff is where the Temmie's can be found. The cave is not completely underwater although Frisk will have to leave their dingy near the entrance and swim their way through.
The Snowy Island is in a perpetual winter in the heart of the island. When first stepping onto the island, It appears as a regular island, thick with vegetation. However as journeying deeper and deeper into the island, it gets colder and eventually starts to snow. In the middle of the island is the clearing where Snowdin is. 
the Core Island is buzzing always with electrical storms. It has little to no vegetation and is prone to rearranging itself.  The island is covered in rocky walls and hills.
Asgore's Island is the smallest island. His Island consists of a poorly built shack, and he has lost most hope after Toriel took his ship. He is a broken man living off of coconuts. Yet he still fights, trying to prove that with this last soul, he can finally free all monsters back to the mainland to rejoin humanity.

Story:
        The Lost Sea is notorious for having sailors being lost at sea, usually never to return. Only the most adventurous people have braved the waters. Only to be met with inevitable doom. So far six have gone and none have returned.
        Not believing the rumors and set to prove everyone wrong, Frisk (player) sets out in a small sailboat into the sea, only to be met by a terrible storm. This storm is the barrier that keeps all the monsters in a set area with all the islands. During the storm Flowey appears in Frisk's boat and introduces himself. Frisk, having no reason to trust flowey, tries ignoring him and save their boat. Flowey offered to help Frisk survive by willingly "turning the boat over". However Frisk declined and threw the weed into the stormy sea. Being tossed about in the waters Frisk's boat eventually becomes wrecked.
Frisk drifts unconscious after passing the storm on a plank of wood. Eventually being rescued by the monsters of Toriel's ship. The Mercy. 
Toriel teaches Frisk to sail and more importantly, to talk their way out of fights (Like regular Toriel)
Sail Toriel is more commanding than the original and loves to tell the tales of the sea. She attempts to help Frisk have the ship become their home. She wears a purple captain coat and a dress with the dreemurr symbol underneath. The coat she just uses to signify her authority
Seeing that Frisk wants to progress to go home Toriel challenges them to a sword fight. Frisk wins and Toriel gives them a wooden dingy to sail the seas on. Light enough to carry across islands shall the need arise.
        After leaving Toriel and The Mercy Behind, Frisk eventually comes across Snowy Island. They found a river to travel across into the island, thinking nothing of it at first. But then started to notice the drop in temperature as they continued on. They are eventually forced out of the water because of it turning to ice. They trudged along the snowy forest encountering monsters along the way, until they read snowdin town. The town is made mostly of wood. And the different buildings were all in a line. The houses were mainly shacks. Grilby's is a pub that served ale and rum. The inn and shop remained the same however the shop sold biscuits instead of cinnamon bunnies and frozen rumcicles instead of bicicles. This is where Frisk meets both Sans and Papyrus. Sans wears just a white t-shirt, ripped pands and read bandana. While Papyrus wears a full-blown over the top red traditional captain outfit. Despite the dramatic differences they are both captains of The Spaghetti. Something papyrus claims to love, yet has never tried due to being away from mainland. So thats what he named the ship. Sans just rolled with it.
        When done finishing with Papyrus Frisk sails away once more in direction of the Water Island. Halfway through the ride, they notice a stowaway, Monnster Kid. Frisk travels with monster kid for a while until they get near enough  the Water Island where Undyne (it isn't shown then) capsizes the boat. Causing monster kid to be lost. Frisk swims the rest of the way to the island towing the boat behind them. Where they eventually got it to set right-side-up on the shore. Like Snowy island, Water island also had a river, or rivers to be more accurate. As Frisk travels along the current of the river chosen, Undyne has made several attempts at drowning the human. Such as getting them overboard, trying to blow their boat up and poking holes in the boat so it sinks. 
        In a pond is a small boat with a bunch of snails on it. Napstablooks boat. This is the one of the only boats you do not fight on, the other boat is The Claws. You just accompany Captain Napstablook. However, in the river before Blooky's boat is an even smaller boat with a bunch of patches to keep it afloat. This is the Mad Dummy's boat. The mad dummy is not much of a dummy, they are really just a bunch of coconuts and wood together to make a humanoid-ish looking thing. Wearing a traditional captain hat.
        The Tem Cave is a dark cave at first that Frisk must swim to reach to. The inside where the village is, is covered in bioluminecsent algae and mushrooms, providing light. The viliage is built on drifting wood keeping the one and only shop open. All the tems just wear a plain white shirt and a gold hoop earing.
        During the course of this Island's journey, Monster Kid keeps vanishing and popping up. With an amazing story almost to hard to believe. Like he swam places, despite his lack of arms.
        After going from the Water Island, Frisk eventually makes it to the Lava island. Where the heat is almost intolerable. As Frisk trudged their way through this island their boat caught fire multiple times. Having to manually put it out without water. Eventually They come across Alphys island. Where she made upgrades to Frisk's dingy. Such as being fireproof, for one. Fixing it up, and having its very own pistol  After fixing the Dingy, Alphys told Frisk of Mettaton and how he was a robot who needed their help. That Mettaton's cabin boy committed mutiny and degraded Mettaton, a usually dramatic character, to cabin boy, They original Cabin Boy's position. Frisk promised Alphys they would help Mettaton regain his ship. They set out once more, dragging their dingy behind them to finally reach the end of The Lava Island. 
        Frisk eventually made it to the core island. The constant electricity in the air made Frisk's hair stand on their ends as they tried figuring their way through the rocky and hilly maze. once completing it. Frisk sails all the way to The Claws Burgerpant's ship. Frisk sneaks onto the ship and finds Mettaton doing cleaning the deck with a barnacle. Frisk took him aside and told him of a plan to get his ship back. However, being afraid and scared of the Captain humiliating him again, he declined. saying everything is perfect the way it is. And returns to cleaning. Frisk tries to stay hidden aboard the ship but soon realises that the captain never leaves his quarters. Hearing a shrill voice call Mettaton's name, he panicked and accidentally tossed the barnacle overboard. He hurridly went to the Captain's quarters to see what he was needed for. Frisk followed in soon after and took a peek in. They saw Mettaton being shrieked at and threatened by Burgerpants. Who wore a traditional captain garb. Along with a pink feathered hat and jewelry galore. Such as jewels, silver and gold bracelets, an earring and many necklaces. They also saw a bottle of rum laying on the desk, half drunk. Mettaton made a smart remark to his captain which earned him a forceful hit on the head. Frisk gasped while Mettaton trudged out of the room silently, a huge dent in the side of his head. As Frisk saw that dent, she noticed other smaller dents spotting his body as well. Mettaton, not only covered in dents, was scuffed up in many places as well. and his soul inside his container quivered and shook.
        Frisk keeps trying to boost Mettaton's confidence and telling him that he can in fact take his ship back, Until he finally believes them and does it. While taking back his ship, Mettaton also takes back the pink hat that sat on Burgerpant's head. Re-renaming the ship The Rising Star 
        After a while, Frisk eventually makes it to Asgore's Island. (They don't know that shortly after they left Burgerpants threw a fit and took the ship BACK. And with Mettaton already afraid of him, imprinted from when he was a cabin boy made it all the easier) Learning about the past of how the monsters got to where they are by sea monsters popping up and telling the story. Asgore's island is the smallest. You could see all of the beaches from the shore Frisk stopped on. They saw a shack filled with coconuts and Bananas and a giant sleeping goat Captain. Who explains that he was marooned here by his wife Toriel after starting to capture the souls. He is clearly broken and his time here has made him almost delirious. Frisk has to continue sparing him to allow him to see sense. However he is infact eventually killed by Flowey. Flowey is the only character who actually hasn't changed that much. However when he turns into Asriel, he is in a very extravagant captain costume and fights with swords like Toriel and Asgore.
