She took the paper and unfolded it. She read it carefully and gave me a strange, terrifying, panic striken look. But it didn't bother me since I had already expected this.
" Kiara! Where did you get this from", she asked me.
" Roger handed it to me as the car slipped into the valley", I said.
She went through the paper again.
It read, " Kiara, if you are reading this letter then I am surely dead. Hope that you aren't injured much. Kiara I knew this that I was going to die today. I knew that as soon as I will start telling you about the Mansion and the Steve family an accident will take place but I wanted you to know the fact that the mansion is haunted. There are several spirits possesed inside the mansion by some kind of special powers. They need your help Kiara. You are the one who can save them. I know that there are several questions bothering you.
How did I know that I was going to die today? If I knew the reason for my death why didn't I save myself? Why have I chosen you for this task?
You will get all your answers Kiara, you just have to find your answers. I am sorry that I can't tell you the answers, but I will surely help you with the same. One more thing, maybe I will not be able to help you everytime, but there will always be someone to help you. You have already got the first help, just you have to understand it. The help you have got is with you but you haven't understood it. Don't even neglect a small thing in your path. It may be a very big clue. You have to first find about the Steve. Just follow this".
"Kiara! What is this? " she asked pointing towards a paper folded at the end of the letter from Roger.
"I don't know. Lets unfold it", I said.
She unfolded it and we saw that it was not just a paper or another letter but it was a map. The map was known to me. It was of our own city but the place marked on it was unknown. After all it was just one year that we shifted in this city and I hadn't explored it well.
Maybe Elsa knows about it. After all she had been living here since five year.
"Elsa, do you know this place", I asked her.
She saw the map carefully and said,"Yes. I know this place. It is the ancient library of our town".
"How old is this library?" I asked.
"It is almost two centuries old." she said.
"Great! We will surely find some information about the Steve family there", I exclaimed.
"Are you really planning to ho there Kiara?" she asked with a gloomy face.
"Yes Elsa. I have to got there. Roger lost his life so that he could save the spirits inside the mansion. I can't let his sacrifice go in vain", I said firmly.
"But Kiara we are only two. And we don't have any powers with us. How we will fight those spirits?" she asked.
"Ok now that. But if Roger has selected me for this there must be some reason. After all no one will sacrifice his life without being sure about it", I replied.
"OK then you are not going alone. I am going to help you", she said.
"OK sure", I said and gave her a tight hug.
