Chapter 1

〖 Chapter 1 〗

《 (y/n) POV 》

I ran across the pavement after seeing Yoonhwi near the gate of the park. The 'Shining Diamond Park' has always been our favourite place to hang out ever since we were young. It was so beautiful back in the old days. Unfortunately, as years goes by, it started to get old. The gates started to rust, so as the playground, less people coming and less food stalls!

"(Y/NNNNNNNN)-AHHHHH!~" Yoonhwi yelled enthusiastically while hugging me really really tight.

"U-Unnie I-I can't b-breathe" I choked out.

"Oops!" Yoonhwi let go of me with a sheepish smile while rubbing her neck.

"It's been such a long time! Remember our favourite ice cream that we used to order? It's still on sale! Can you believe it?? After all these years it's not closed yet!" Yoonhwi blabbered on while I just nodded without understanding a single thing since she was talking too fast.

Walking side by side, we visited the small ice cream stall in the park, near the fountain. The sound of Yoonhwi talking and the crunching of the leaves under our shoes calmed me.

"Here we are!" Yoonhwi smiled while we stopped infront of the ice cream stall.

'Jam Jam Ice Cream'

A smile plastered on my face as I recalled a past memory.

"Hwi-unnie! Let's go get some ice cream!" A 7 year old me said.

"I want some too! Wait for me!" Yoonhwi jogged to my side.

"Jam Jam Ice Cream?? What a silly name!" I laughed.

"Well, it is creative"

"Oh! It is!" I smiled

"1 scoop of chocolate mint please! What do you want (y/n)-ah?" Yoonhwi asked me.

"1 scoop of (ice cream flavour) , thank you!" I smiled to the young boy working behind the counter while Yoonhwi was waiting for me behind me with a cone of chocolate mint ice cream.

"Wow, that looks delicious" Yoonhwi motioned to my cone. I nodded and licked my lips.

After finishing our ice cream, we sat down on a bench. I could hear Yoonhwi sighed happily.

"I wish we could continue the fun but I have to go. Sorry, I have something to do." Yoonhwi told me. I replied with a simple 'ok' and bid her goodbye while hugging her.
I continued sitting on the bench for a good few second until something caught my attention at the corner of my eye.

It was 2 boys laughing together. They look like they had a fun time.

Wow... They look beautiful...

Wait what?!

I shook my head. I looked at them once more to get a good look of their faces and one of them caught me staring at them. I blushed a bright red but he's just smiled and waved at me. I waved back at him shyly and hung my head down in embarrassment.

I looked at my phone to onto see it was 6.35pm. I stood up from the bench, stretched my limbs and walked back to my apartment.
