Glass

Watching out the window
All the falling snow
I wish that we were out there
But I guess life just ain't fair

My life is like stained glass panes
Colours fit together like chains
Each colour a moment in my life
Some so clear they cut like a knife

Some panes are blues so deep
From tears I couldn't keep
Some furious red
from passionate things said

Pinks so pretty and light
From hearts lit up and bright
Greens like summer grass
Moments I didn't want to pass

Luscious and rich creams
From past and future dreams
Purples so royal
From those most loyal

Black panes haunting and dark
All the pain has left it's Mark
Some a milky white still not clear
For moments that are coming near

Oranges are sunny and fresh
Where friends and family mesh
Yellows bright and happy
From the moments I felt happy

My life is like a stained glass window
Where you can watch the falling snow
An assortment of colours all glued together
Where they'll leave a story forever
