She's still as pale as ever, it's been two hours since I found her in the basement of the ship. She hasn't regained consciousness, only groaning or moaning in her sleep. Her face still was scrunched in pain. She laid in the same spot as Evan and I tended to her the best we could, but we could only do so much.
The captain still hasn't come back and we can't send someone to find him or he'll get mad. My face furrowed in worry as I watched her let out another growl of pain before she laid still once again. She's been having random spasms of pain and no medicine we use seems to work on her. We think it's because of the poison but we don't know if there's anything to counteract it. We're stumped on what to do to help her, we don't know much about her condition.
The most we can hope for is for the captain to come back soon to help take care of her.
~~~
It's been approximately three hours since the captain left and Levi and I have been taking turns watching over Aya. She's laid relatively still for a while now but she still seems to have a high fever. I attempted putting a cool washcloth on her forehead to cool her but, I momentarily forgot about her condition. The washcloth melted upon her forehead, me and Levi watched in awe as it seemingly disintegrated.
I've always put the idea towards the back of my mind, thinking it was some weird illusion of some sort. When she had burned a hole in my shirt before I thought maybe I'd eaten something I shouldn't have and imagined it. I refused to believe that she was the cause but seeing it now with my own eyes, it's hard to believe she can even do this.
It's something no human could possibly do, yet she's somehow able to do so, why? I was so confused but at the same time, it was intriguing to watch. I've never seen something like this before, not even after the many horrible things I've seen.
I let out an irritated sigh and stood up from the chair I was currently sitting in. I was sitting beside Aya making sure she didn't spasm in her sleep to keep her from hurting herself. Her breathing had finally evened out so all she's doing now is in a deep sleep.
Levi fell asleep on the other side of the nurses office when he was supposed I find out where the captain was. 'So useless...' I thought sourly. I walk towards him then slapped him upside the head as hard as I could, without knocking him out of the god-damned-chair. "Ow! What the hell Evan! That hurt!" I rolled my eyes at him and tilted my hearts towards the door, he immediately got the hint. "Oh shit! I totally forgot!" Before I could reprehend his actions, he bolted for the door; not even caring about the noise he made.
He's such a small child sometimes. I looked over at the small fragile girl passed out on the bed. Her normally pale face much paler in comparison, her breathing shallow but steady. Her blonde hair fell around her face and shoulders in her sleep. She looked so young it made me wonder just how old she truly is.
She has such long eyelashes, with such a round childish face. It almost makes her seem like a doll, no wonder the captain likes to call her princess. She really does look like one. She still stubbornly wears the old tattered dress we found her in, covered head to toe in dirt.
She must've gone through a lot, it almost makes me want to pity her but it's not my place to comment on her actions or beliefs. I close my eyes in irritation. "Just what am I thinking..." I took one last look at her before leaving her in a dimly lit room, the light reflecting off her hair.
~~~
"What?" I thought in anger, clenching my fists at my sides. Levi ran up to me in urgency and before I knew what hit me, he'd grabbed my arm and pulled me into my quarters. Evan was already inside waiting patiently for my return as always. "What the hell is this about? I'm busy Levi!" I yell at him, shaking his poor grip on my arm to glare at him.
"That girl, Aya. I went to check on her about four hours ago and found her unconscious in the basement room. At first I thought maybe she was faking it, or maybe it was the fumes and particles from the small room. She's got an extremely high fever, and has been having random spasms of pain. We can't lower her fever because of the poison." He says in a rushed voice, panic laced in his tone.
"She's sick? How the hell did that happen? Well, either way we need to see what's wrong. I'll go look after her, take these documents and send some men to scout Riviera. We're leaving first thing tomorrow morning." I said with urgency before walking out of the room.
How the hell did she manage to get sick? So irritating, she never listens to a word I say and when she does, it's s only for some benefit of hers. "The hell am I supposed to do with you princess?" I said sourly, my fists still clenched in anger.
It took me a few minutes to make it to the nurses office, opening the door, I stepped inside quickly and quietly. I noticed the small petite girl sprawled across the bed, her hair framing her face and shoulders. She's much paler than normal. I step closer to her to peer into her face. Her breathing seems normal, a little wheezy but not too hazardous to her health.
"Ugh.." I hear a mangled moan of pain escape her rosy lips and she furrows her brows in pain. Her face started to turn a shade of red, probably because of the fever. She starts to move about a little in the bed, more string of painful moans and groans leaving her lips.
I let out an irritated groan of protest, 'great, got yourself the stomach bug didn't you?' I thought as I peered at her. It seems to be a mixture of things but I can't do a proper evaluation with her asleep.
