"Hey mum? Where are we going?" She continued to drive while my "Father" sat in the passengers seat smoking, the back of the car was full of smoke, I could barely breath with it all in my face. "We're going to the park, you know it rarely rains down here in Arizona so i figured we would drop by the park so you can play in the rain while me and your dad sit in the car and smoke. Is that alright Autumn?" I was kind of in doubt about what she said because we barely went out of the house as a family, ever since mom broke up with dad anyways. The person in the passenger seat would never have my trust. "Yeah that sounds like fun mom." I was obviously being sarcastic but mom just ignored it and kept on driving. I was looking out the window most of the time. There was raindrops and fog all over the window, so it was hard to see. I could faintly make out a willow tree with someone sitting in it, I wished I could be that person. Then my phone let out a buzz and i got it out of my hoodie pocket, it was my friend Ryan.

Hey Autumn, hows your day been goin 4 ya?
Struggling not to stab my "dad" XD
Oh lol, my mothers in the bathtub dealing with cancer again, any chance you can come over?
Nah, the skank is taking me to the park, srry lol.
I have to go, we're at the park. Cya l8r crocagater.
Lol bai ✌
I heard the engine stop and we were at the park! No one was there though, just me and my "family". "We're here, go ahead and get out hun." Mom slightly turned her head so she could see me. I opened the door and stepped out, of course the streets were almost flooded so my whole outfit got wet when I hopped out of the car. I went over to the mulch, it was weird feeling mulch against my flipflops. It felt like shredded wood. I hopped over to the swings and sat down, it wasn't too comfy but close enough. I swang a bit until I was going really high up. It was fun! I then took a leap off the swing. I turned around with my long hair slapping into my face, but didn't see my car. I already knew what happened, but I decided to look for the car anyways. "Where is it, where is it?!" I was stuck in the rain, with nothing but the clothes on my back, a phone, and a bag of tiny brownies. I decided to go to a little castle structure that was next to the swings, and sit under the stairs so that I wasn't soaking. I pulled out my phone and struggled to get wifi. About two minutes later I had wifi, and five new text messages to check.

Autumn! I need you now!
AUTUMN!
AUTUMN ITS REALLY IMPORTANT!
Shit you wont see this for a while.
My mother, the cancer, it got to her. I found her dead in the bathtub with the water overflowing from the bathtub. There's hair everywhere, and I don't know what to do....
11:27 AM
Im so sorry.... I know you loved her alot, but I'm kinda in a situation. Your 19 right?
Yeah, and your 18, whats your point?
I need you to drive to the little park in Phoenix and pick me up, my "parents" ditched me in the rain.
Oh shit, yeah I'll be there in a few.
I was a bit relieved inside, yet I also wanted to slam someones head into a brick wall. Ryan was always there to help me, even when my dad left. Next thing you know, I saw a black SUV with it headlights making white reflections on the rain. I was assuming it was Ryan. He had short fluffy brown hair with a blue shirt that distinctly said "Dont Blink". "Are you Ryan?!" I only shouted because it was hard to hear with the pounding and thundering of the rain. "Yeah, you must be Autumn, nice shirt by the way, now get in the car imma give you some candy giiiiiiiirl." I knew he was joking. I put my phone in my pocket and made a quick dash to the car's passenger side. Yanking on the door handle I quickly jumped into the car. "God you look beautiful, more beautiful then I'll ever be ha ha..." He was obviously blushing but I didn't say anything about it because I was shy when it came to love. So I just laughed along. He started driving and said "Hey uhhh... Sorry for saying this but.. Uhhh... Can you help me put my mom in the coffin...... ?" He started tearing up. I hugged him and nodded. Then after a while of driving I looked down at my outfit. I was wearing a black hoodie that said "Im not as think as you drunk I am, then we all fell down when the sun came up, I think we've had enough" It was from my favorite song by Panic! At The Disco. Then I was wearing a pair of torn jeans and some blue flipflops. I felt accomplished that I had a good outfit on. The ride from there on was pretty downhill.
All I could think about was mom and her boyfriend ditching me in the
DECEMBER RAIN.
