Ch. 4
"I'm sorry." He said as he pulled himself away from me. "I shouldn't have done that." He looked embarrassed.
"No, it's okay, but why?" I asked.
"I've seen you around school a lot, and I guess I kinda developed a crush on you. I was just to scared to do anything." He said.
"Because of what your friends might think?" I asked.
"Yeah. To them, a good girl and a bad boy don't go together." He said.
"But, you're not a bad boy. You're sweet."
"They don't know that side of me." He said.
I sighed looking down, remembering my clothes were wet. I went to my room to change into dry clothes. I threw my wet clothes and towel into the washer and went back to the living room with Michael.
"Is your mom always away?" He asked.
"Most of the time." I answered.
"Can I stay here with you?"
"Yeah." I said with a smile. It would be less lonely here with Michael.
I looked at the clock. It was six o'clock. Usually by this time, I was hungry, but today I was just tired. I let out a yawn.
"Tired?" He asked with a smirk. I nodded.
We went to my room. As I got into bed, he turned off the light. He slid into bed beside me and wrapped his arms around me. I felt protected in his warm, tight embrace.
"Goodnight." he whispered before kissing me on my forehead sending a chill down my spine.
I fell asleep in his arms.
