It had been exactly 3 months since Harry and Draco were intimate, and Draco was going practically insane. Everything had happened so fast and he did not know what came over him. All he did was read the other boy's private thoughts from his diary and somehow that triggered something within him. After that night the two never spoke of what happened. They simply went about their daily lives as if it were a mere distant memory that was to never be spoken about again. Similarly to he who must not be named, they treated the situation as the unspeakable incident.

For some reason Draco felt guilty. He had taken Harry's virginity, yet he wasn't even sure if his actions were done out of lust or love. So instead of leading the boy who lived on, he basically cut himself off from Harry. He requested a room swap and decided to live with a 6th year named Charles instead. Harry on the other hand was more confused than upset. He too was perplexed by how quickly things moved between him and Draco. They never spoke about their feelings for each other directly, but instead expressed them physically. Granted Harry was hurt when he walked into his room one day to find that Draco was no longer there and that some pudgy third year named Eddy had taken his place. Needless to say life was somewhat back to normal. Harry and Draco skirted around each other, only courteously nodding at one another in passing.

It was May and summer holiday was rapidly approaching, and for the first time in Hogwarts history, the school was offering summer classes to those students affected academically by the war. This gave them the opportunity to make up for what they missed throughout the chaos. Naturally Hermione had registered months in advance when the news first broke.

"Harry, Ron, do you seriously want to stay here for a 9th year? This is a great opportunity to finished up quickly! Besides we've never experienced Hogwarts in the summer months, I'm sure it's amazing!" Hermione said in an encouraging tone.

"Hermione, please, we just got back, we need to ease back into normal life. I'm sure Harry wants a break just as much as I do, don't ya Harry?" Ron said, nudging Harry to take his side.

"Actually she has a point, it would be nice to just finish up all at once" Harry chimed. He thought that if he was distracted by more school it would keep his mind off of a couple of things that nagged him daily, like why he and Draco went from being so close to practically strangers.

Of course Draco had signed up for the summer courses. Any opportunity to move on with his life he was going to take it. Draco had too many bad experiences tied to his time spent at Hogwarts, like being hated by the majority of the school, watching Dumbledore die, and the oh so humiliating moment when Voldemort attempted to hug him...however, some good ones were intertwined as well, such as the time he and Harry—or right he wasn't supposed to think about that.

"Draco!", Pansy barked summoning him from across the hall.

Draco was pulled from his thoughts and turned to see the girl flagging him down. "yesss?" he asked looking quizzically at her.

"Are you really staying here all summer?"

"Well where else am I supposed to go? Do you expect me to stay at the manor alone the entire summer? I think not" Draco stated matter of factly.

"I heard that they are only accepting 100 students for a summer session and I believe the rest of us Slytherins, with the exception of Potter are not staying...who are you going to socialize with?"

"Pansy, I'm not staying to make friends and buddy up, I'm staying purely for academic reasons"

"suit yourself, the list of accepted students is going to be posted in the great hall on Friday"

"As if I wasn't aware..."

"Cut the sass you little prick" Pansy jokingly bit back while lightly punching his arm.

The two made their way down to the dungeons and separated to their respective dormitories. Draco calmly made strides to his room, but his mind was anything but calm. There was one thing that Pansy mentioned that stood out to him; Potter was staying as well.
