PS: Also if you see Heine having an OC moment here in this scenario then tell me in the comment section down below so I can edit it! I apologize in advance since this is my first time writing a fanfiction about him :D
It's been a few years since I met Heine, Heine Wittgenstein.
At first, I thought he was just a little kid like the rest of the homeless children but it turns out we're about the same age when we first met.
After meeting him, we started seeing each other often the next day and became a routine for the both of us.
Eventually, we became close friends after getting to know each other a little better.
I don't know if I'm imagining it, but I almost see him as a mentor or a teacher when he gave me some life advice one time.
But not only our friendship blossomed, I even befriended the prince of Granzreich that is next in line of the throne, Viktor von Granzreich.
Thus, we became a trio and from time to time, we're always there to support each other whenever we're roaming around in town together.
Although, conflicts arise during the day of the festival.
There was a misunderstanding that occurred when the guards found Heine and Victor. They thought Heine kidnapped Victor so they decided to shoot him but Victor took the shot for him (note: the guards were aiming for Heine, not Victor) which led Heine to be arrested after being accused that he used Victor as a shield.
I heard the whole story from Victor himself when I met him fully bandaged and it was shocking after hearing it.
Victor said he'll take care of Heine's arrest and he'll make sure to get him out of prison.
I was actually relieved to hear him say that but in the end, I wasn't able to reunite with them when my parents decided to let us move out to another place when my dad found another job that may support us.
It was kinda sad leaving a place where I truly belong but I have no choice but go with it.
But a few years after I moved out of town, I received a letter from Victor or King Victor of Granzreich himself.
He probably knew about how homesick I was when I left so he decided to hire me as the royal tutor's assistant.
At first, I was surprised to receive such a letter from his majesty and being hired as an assistant for a royal tutor is something else.
I wasn't expecting this day ever come but I was happy.
After a few days, I decided to move out and set sail to Granzreich. I bid my parents goodbye and I promise that I'll send them letters every month.
When I arrived back, it felt nostalgic like I traveled back in time. The place was the same as ever and the people were smiling and talking to one another.
It felt like it was yesterday but I'm very happy that I returned.
Just when I was about to look at my pocket watch, a carriage arrived in front of me.
The gentleman riding the carriage looked at me with a smile and said, "Are you perhaps, (Y/N)(L/N)?".
I nodded with a small hint of hesitation and said, "Yes, I am".
"Wonderful. Thank goodness, I found you. His majesty, King Victor, requested me to escort you to his palace right away once you arrive here in Granzreich around...", the young gentleman stopped just to check his watch, "...past lunch time?".
I chuckled and nodded again at the funny looking gentleman.
"Excellent. Let me take you inside the carriage, madam"
The gentleman carefully let me inside the carriage and eventually, we were set forth towards Weissburg palace.

We finally arrived at our destination.
When the royal guards, Maximilian and Ludwig, saw my presence, they recognized me as the newly recruited assistant for the royal tutor and granted me entry.
I gotta say that this is one big and magnificent palace and I get the feeling I'll get lost easily.
Before I could run towards the entrance, a lady around her sixties came out of the palace's doors and saw me.
"Oh, its you!"
The old lady went down the steps and ran towards me with the palace dog by her side.
When I recognized her right away, I realized that she's the Queen Mother of Granzreich so I bowed down gently.
"Hello, Queen Mother. I'm (Y/N)(L/N). Its a pleasure meeting you!", I introduced myself before I raised my head.
"My! You look absolutely gorgeous in person, (Y/N). My name is Maria Von Granzreich. I'm so glad I have finally met you! My son and the royal tutor has been talking about you lately", said Maria as she giggled.
"Eh? Really?", I said with a surprise look on my face.
"Why yes!", she said as she clasped my hands, "To be honest, they almost sounded excited that they're meeting their old friend after a few years! I do say they missed you so much, dear".
Wait, THEIR old friend?
Who is the royal tutor anyway?
Do I know him/her?
Before I could say anything, she eventually showed me the way to the palace and on the way, I was greeted with maids and butlers which I wasn't used to it yet.
"Oh I almost forgot!", said Maria, feeling disappointed, "My deepest apologies but my son is not here at the moment since he went to town with his second eldest son. If you want, you can meet the royal tutor instead! You two are close right? Luckily, your rooms are beside each other so you wouldn't have any trouble finding your room".
I nodded and both of us proceeded to my room where the royal tutor's room is also located.
When we got there, one of the rooms were opened and it revealed to be none other than Heine Wittgenstein himself.
Wait, Heine?! He's the royal tutor?!
My eyes widened and when Heine's scarlet orbs met mine, his eyes went wide as well.
"Ah there you are, Heine! (Y/N) has finally arrived at the palace. Make sure you guide her, okay?", said Maria, giggling at the scene.
Heine gave her a simple nod, still shocked meeting me face to face.
Maria left us and before anything else, I spoke up.
"H-Heine? Is that...really you?"
Heine made a lop sided smile and said calmly, "Yes, it's me, (Y/N). I thought I would...never see you again but thanks to Victor, he...".
I almost felt like I want to cry but I held it and said with a smile, "Yup, he knew how homesick I was so he took me in and let me be your assistant".
He may be wearing a poker face at the moment but in his eyes, he looked really glad to see me.
"I still can't believe it...", he approached me and unexpectedly, he hugged me gently which I find it really adorable considering his height, "I...missed you. Seeing you made me remember the times we had together years ago".
I can feel tears coming out of my eyes but with my instincts, I wiped them as I hugged him back.
"Yes, me too, Heine", I said, laughing, "I'm glad I returned".
