Ria's POV
I enter the house and immediately I hear, "Where the hell is my daughter!" My Dad yells at my mother.
"Right here Dad."I state calmly interrupting their conversation. My Dad's head snaps to me.
"Ria where the hell have you've been, do you know what time it is?" He questions me
I can't help but want to go like "Well mom kicked me out the house because her throat was down some strangers."
Yet not wanting to get her into much trouble I reply saying "Mom told me to leave because she was irritated after work so I did what she said." I smirk looking at my Mom. He looks at me, then at my Mom then clears his throat.
"Go to your room Ria while I deal with your mother." He says sternly and I scurry off to my room.
I didn't want my mom to get in trouble but she deserves it. God that sounds so cold but its truth. I hear yelling downstairs and I curl farther into my bed.
To block out yelling I grab my phone and go on and scroll through until I see the right song, ' Dirty Laundry ' by All Time Low.
After listening to my entire album, I peek at the clock and notice they've been arguing for about an hour and its not calming down. I hear muffled yells and scuffling, coming to a conclusion that they are getting physical I call Charles knowing he'll be up still. He picks up on the 3rd ring.
Groggily he manages a sleepy "Hello."
"Hey, I'm sorry if I woke you. Its only 12:45, your usually awake still." I apologize
"It's ok, what's up." he reassures me.
" I need to you to come pick me up please." I plead hearing my mother cry out in pain. I'm feeling guilty at how I put her in this predicament. "Please." I whimper once more.
"I'm on my way immediately." he replies "Back window?" he asks already knowing
"Yea I"ll be in the tree waiting." I say and then hang up. I put my earbuds back in trying to block out their quarrel, and ten minutes later my phone lights up with a message.
I reach over from my spot in the tree and make sure the window isn't completely closed so I can get back in. I look down and jump, then quietly tip-toe run to Charles's car. I get in and closed the door as he pulls away in silence. He doesn't ask me any questions but I know when we get to his house he'll ask.
We get to his house and he ask if I want some tea. "Yes please, oh and do you have raspberry?" I question him and he pulls a box of raspberry tea out the cupboard.
"You should already know I always have it just for you." He tells me. I really like tea but raspberry is my favorite.
"I'll put it on the pot if its alright." I tell him more than I ask him. He hands me the box and I start warming the water up. Once I see that its boiling I put the tea packets in and grab two cups out the cupboard. I pour them in the cups and I'm getting ready to bring them but Charles grabs them before I do. We walk over to his couch and drink in silence.
"So are you gonna tell me what happened?" He ask me quietly.
"So remember when I told you about that dude who my mom was smooching with?"

Adian's POV
I reach home and Alexis greets me at the door.
"Hey Adian moms freaking out cause you didn't tell her you were going out." She tells me. "But I covered up for you and told her you went to the park." She states. I'm getting ready to reply until she beats me to it. "I hope you know you owe me big time, your ass could've gotten in serious trouble mom has been more stressed than usual." She snaps.
"Thanks but I could worry about my own problems and you know me better, I don't go to the park Alexis, could've said the library." I clap back.
Alexis chuckles softly. "Your lucky I even covered for, next time I won't do it again." She fires back and starts to head up stairs, but before she does I say "you and I both know you'll cover for me, that's just what we do." I answer softly and she smiles.
I head to the kitchen to get something to eat but my mothers there sitting on a stool, with a drink in her hands.
She sips her drink then looks up to me and says "Where have you've been Adian, me and Alexis have been waiting for you." She says and I can tell she's sober. But my mom usually drinks at night while I'm gone, so why isn't she drunk?
"Didn't Alexis tell you, I was at the park." Then I checked the time, 12 am. "Mom you need to go to bed its late." I tell her and help her up.
"I was waiting for you, I don't like when you go outside and don't come back till God knows when." She tells me and I feel bad.
"Mom I'm fine, I'm not a little kid anymore I can fend for myself." I tell her just to stop making her worry about me but its no use.
"Your my son Adian I will never stop worrying about you, I don't car if you were fifty years old, your my son and I will always worry about you no matter what." She looks me in my eyes, with her stern motherly voice.
I kiss her on top of her head and tell her goodnight. I check Lexis room and sees she's still watching TV, on Netflix watching the Fosters her favorite show.
"Lexis you should be heading to bed soon." I tell her.
"Just one more episode." She tells me while shooing me away. I chuckle softly and close the door. I know she's going to be up all night trying to finish one season. I'll check on her later to shut her TV off.
Hello people, sorry for the cliffhanger in Ria's chapter. But at least you get to see the loving side of Adian. I know this chapter is late as always but we like to procrastinate. At least its earlier than our last chapters, Hope you enjoy. Did you guys peep Ria hehehe 💕.
