Chapter 5

          “Casey? Hello, come in.”

I went in and sat down.

“What can I do for you?”

“I didn’t really want to go back to band, Mr. Jay seems sort of agrivted with me.” I tried to sound innocent.

          “Where were you before?”

“With Ms. Parker, she called me down, I guess some how she found out about my pregnancy, maybe from Medina but I don’t really know.” I was trying to get her to confess.

“Oh, I see…well, how are things with you?” She totally tried to change the subject.

“Fine mostly, I am so tired though.”

“Pregnancy does drag you down a bit, yes.”

“I was thinking about going to see and old friend after school today, she would help me through this, I know her.”

          “Old friend?”

“Well, old teacher… Ms. Tyler she was like a mother to me. She gave me her cell number in case I ever need, but I feel she would be disappointed to hear this one.” I looked down at my stomach, I didn’t notice but it looks like I getting slightly bigger.

“Oh, I see. Is Nick’s mother driving you over there?”

“I haven’t made plans yet, I may not even be going.”

“Casey, I’m sorry to interrupt, but I in all honesty really have to go to the bathroom.” She giggled and got up and quickly paced to the bathroom. In the mean time I took out my phone and scrolled through my contact list until I reached Tyler, I didn’t want to at the Ms. in there in case anyone came through my phone.

TEXT: Hi Ms. Tyler, Casey here, are you busy after school?

I felt like she would be shocked to hear from me, we haven’t spoken in almost a year.

TEXT: Casey?! Long time no talk! No, I’m not, planning on a visit?

TEXT: If you don’t mind could I swing over?

TEXT: No! Just come on in, I will be in my room!(:

          TEXT: Thank you…

          TEXT: Are you okay?

I didn’t reply I started tearing up. Now I knew how it felt in movies and such when girls have to tell their parents they are pregnant, the feeling is true. I was scared to tell her. What was I going to do?

“Hey, sorry I’m back, that was a bit more than expected.” I gave her a questioning look, “I got sick for some reason…hmm, I think maybe it’s time to go home.”

I nodded, “I feel the same way, and maybe you should get that checked out?”

“If it continues,” She looked at her watch, “The bell is going to signal in about 2 minutes, do you want a ride over to your old teachers school?”

“Uh…sure let me just text Nick.”

TEXT: Nick, I am getting a ride home from Mrs. Jones, don’t wait for me.
