The odd man led Amora through the labs, which were filled with strange Midgardian devices and chemicals which could kill a mortal in an instant. "THIS is what I need your help with." He led her into a small room made of vibranium with a large energy core. Only one thing seemed strange about it - it wasn't powered up yet. "Yeah, that. See, it can only be powered up by Asgardian magic - and though the lot of you 'gods' are very strong, only a select few actually use sorcery." He snapped the Power Dampening Band off her wrist. "I want to use this to kill the Asgardian royal family." "Ha!" Amora sneered. "Foolish mortal. We cannot merely be killed by a simple piece of Midgardian technology. We are superior, and even your bombs and guns and toys cannot stop us, no matter how powerful they seem to YOU." It may have been a bad choice of words, as in less than half a second later, she found herself yet again pinned in a chokehold. "Do you wanna live or taunt? Sigh, decisions..." He released her as she fell to the cold floor, gasping for breath. "Less talking, more working, witch." The door slammed shut. "Well..." Amora stared at the core. "I will get to kill the imbecile of thunder... And he'll set me free. What reason do I have not to complete the mortal's task?"
Besides her pride, of course.
In less than a moment, she was powering up the core. Which was surprising difficult, by the way - she had to be strapped into a chair with vibranium cuffs, for her hands and legs. "Ready?" He asked with a smirk. He then flipped a switch which sent a painful shock into her brain. He repeated this several times, as each time she was shocked, out of her reflexes she shot a small blast of magic. "Hrrk-" she mumbled in pain. "Oh, it might hurt a bit, but this is just the beginning, Amora." He smiled smugly.
"It gets worse, witch."
