Amethyst's POV
As the sun shines brightly into Amethyst's room, causing her to wake up as she is after all, like a vampire. She groans as she hates to wake up & falls back into a light slumber. Her mother calls her "Sweety hurry, come downstairs or your food will get cold!" Amethyst wakes up to the sound of her mom yelling, as she groans even more. She slowly walks downstairs and sits down as she greets her mom, and she remembers that she made plans to meet her friend Walter. Thinking to herself I have to hurry! she gets up to go, but her mother asks where she is going, so she replies with "I'm meeting up with Walter!" as she hurries outside.
Amethyst runs to meet Walter near the water fountain that sparkles under the sunlight. She smiles at it as Walter comes up from behind her, and says "What are you looking at?" She replies with "There is so much beauty in everything...". As she stares at the sparkling water, Walter smiles while gazing at Amethyst and says "I agree, There is so much beauty all around us..." Amethyst suddenly says "Did you hear about the prince taking over Foncé when he turns 20?" Walter replies "Yeah I think everyone's heard about it, It usually happens when the heir is 21 but some strange event caused it to be a year earlier. I don't really think it's wise for him to take over as king before he really learns how to use his magical powers in battle..." Amethyst thinks for a while and says "Yeah, I think so too... But speaking of magical powers, why don't we head to the enchanted forest and ask the nymphs more about it?" "I was planning on going to the Enchanted Forest anyways!" Walter says while smiling widely at Amethyst.
They run down the dusty dirt path to the enchanted forest and soon they reach the lush trees where the hidden entrance to the Enchanted Forest begins. Funny thing is, the Enchanted Forest isn't actually enchanted, it's only called the Enchanted Forest because of the many magical creatures in its midst. It was originally only inhabited by a few woodland creatures until the nymphs found the beautifully abundant bright green forest and made it their home, now it's inhabited by so many different kinds of magical creatures it's too many to list. As Amethyst and Walter walk up to the entrance they can already hear the sound of joyful laughter and warm, light, melodious music.
They run inside to see everyone dancing and singing along to the music in the courtyard, and Amethyst laughs internally because she knows how much the nymphs love to dance and sing. Her thoughts get interrupted by her friend Erica the nymph yelling from the other side of the courtyard "Hi Amethyst and Walter, nice to see you guys again!" Walter yells back "It's nice to see you too!" and as they start walking towards Erica Amethyst sees someone using Ice Manipulation and thinks "I can't wait till I get my powers in a few months when I turn 20!" To Amethysts surprise, Walter chuckles as Erica says "I can't wait for it! There will be a ceremony when you get your powers, and yes you said that out loud..." They all laugh, but suddenly Amethyst worriedly thinks What if she gets a weird power?
Her eyebrows furrow worriedly as she thinks of all the different possibilities. Walter notices her spacing out and says "Is something wrong?" Amethyst replies "I'm just worried about what power I'll get.. or worst of all WHAT IF I DONT GET A POWER?!" Erica giggled at Amethysts rant and said "Oh hon, I don't think you have anything to worry about... I'm sure you'll have a great power! Anyways, why don't we head to the lake to take your mind off your troubles?" Walter nods as Amethyst replies excitedly "That's a GREAT IDEA!! I love the lake!!"
Amethyst ran up to Walter and pushed him into the lake, as she giggled Walter pulled her into the lake with him. Amethyst screamed "WALTER!!" while he laughed she splashed water into right into his mouth, Walter spits the water out and started laughing right along with Amethyst. Erica chuckles at how childish they were and while grabbing two spare swimsuits that were hanging on the back of a chair she says "You guys forgot to change out of your clothes!" They looked up from their laughing and sheepishly grinned at her. They both jump out of the lake, grabbing the swimsuits while saying "Thanks, Erica!" They go to the bathrooms to change out of their sopping wet clothes.
They spend the rest of the day with Erica in the lake and soon the sky is colored with bright orange, red and purple...Amethyst suddenly exclaims "I forgot I have an 8 o'clock curfew!!" Erica replies "You better hurry back then hon, it's about 7:45!" Walter hands Amethyst her clothes and says "I'll head back with you lets change when we get back to the house, we both have training early tomorrow morning!" Amethyst nods and says "Darn I forgot about the training!"
They both say goodbye to Erica and run quickly back up the dirt path to Amethyst's house. Amethyst says to Walter "I'll see you tomorrow! Let's meet up here and we can go to training together!" Walter replies "Sure! I can call you and wake you up? I know how much of a deep sleeper you are..." "Thanks, Walt! I have to head in right now, but text me when you get home!" Amethyst says as she opens the door. As he walks he shouts back "Will do!" Amethyst walks past the kitchen and says to her mom as she runs up the stairs "Hey mom I'm back, I'm gonna watch some Tv in my room and text Walter and then I'll go to bed at 10!"
Her mom yells back "Have you eaten dinner yet Sweety?!" Amethyst replies as she walks in her room "Yeah, I had a burrito with Erica and Walter!" She quickly changes out of the spare swimsuit and reminds herself to return it to Erica tomorrow. Then Amethyst throws on her PJs and clicks on her computer and types in Netflix, while she's trying to decide what to watch she hears the ding of her phone. Amethyst grabs it and sees that Walter texted: Back home safely! I'm going to watch Httyd rn! I'll call you tomorrow! Amethyst chuckles at Walters obsession with How To Train Your Dragon and decides she'll watch it tonight too, She puts Httyd and after 3 episodes she slowly dozes off.
