I am warning you beforehand. There will be some major feels in this chapter. I just wanted you to know that. Please still read it. This is a very important chapter. In fact, it's one of the most important chapters. Enjoy!

Adrien's POV

I decided that today I was going to look for my mark. I haven't been able to find it ever since my birthday. I also haven't been looking for it. That's probably why I couldn't find it.

"I already know who your soulmate is," Plagg announced.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"You have to figure that out yourself. Now, give me some camembert!" Plagg ordered. I gave him some camembert, though I wanted to say 'Only if you tell me who my soulmate is.' I really did want to know. I wanted to know if Ladybug was my soulmate. I wondered if Ladybug has her mark yet. I would just ask her later when we're on patrol.

"Adrien! Are you ready? It's time for you to go to school!" I heard Nathalie shout.

"Yeah, I'm ready! Be down in a minute!" I shouted back. Plagg flew into my jacket. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs to the lobby. Nathalie and Gorilla were waiting for me.

I went outside and got into the limo. We drove to François Dupont High and I exited the limo and walked up to Nino, who was waiting for me. Alya and Marinette were with him. I was surprised that Marinette was so early. She was never this early.

"...is my soulmate," I heard Marinette tell Alya and Nino. They stared at her in disbelief. Both of them tried rubbing something off of her hand.

"It's true, but how?" Alya asked.

"What are you talking about?" I asked as I walked up to them.

"Oh, just Marinette's soulmate," Nino said.

"They found out by accident. I don't want anyone else to know. Mostly because of who it is..." Marinette explained. "It wasn't who I was expecting."

"Oh, yeah! Ladybug's birthday is also today!" Alya exclaimed.

"Really? I didn't know that," Marinette said.

"I posted it on the LadyBlog this morning! Did you not read it?" Alya asked.

"I was too busy thinking about my soulmate!" Marinette defended.

"Do you like him?" Alya asked with a sly smile. Marinette's cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

"Well... maybe a little..." she admitted.

"I want to know who it is!" I yelled. Then there was a loud boom. An akuma attack. Why now?

"We need to get out of here!" Marinette said. We all ran in different directions. I ran behind a big tree.

"Plagg, claws out!" I chanted. I then transformed and ran to the scene of the akuma. The villain was chaining people to the ground.

Then Ladybug showed up. My heart floated out of my body at the sight of her. She always made my days 100000000000000000000000000000x better.

"Why, hello, m'lady. Looks like we've got another akuma to fight, but it'll be a thousand times easier with mew here," I said. Ladybug rolled her eyes.

"More cat puns? I've been here for less than a minute, and you've already made a pun. We need to focus on the task at hand, then we can be silly," she explained. So, she did think my puns were funny.

"Of course. Anything fur mew m'lady," I joked. I was still using puns no matter what.

"Oh my gosh. Just... Nevermind. Let's just defeat this villain," Ladybug said. She ran towards the villain and I followed.

"So, where do mew think the akuma is?" I asked.

"Probably in her necklace. That's how she chains people up," Ladybug replied.

"Good thinking, m'lady," I said.

"I am the Liar. I will make you tell the truth, and if you don't, your chains will tighten! If you tell the truth, the chains will disappear," Liar explained. She shot chains at Ladybug. I jumped in front of her, and I was chained to the ground. Then she shot chains at her again. Ladybug was now chained to the ground as well.

"Looks we're all chained up," I said.

"Your question is... Hmm... Who do you love the most?" Liar asked. "While your answering that, I'm gonna destroy the city, so you better hurry." She ran off.

"Well, that's easy. I love you, m'lady. Ever since I met you, you have had a place in my heart. I have loved you since the day I met you and I always will. Now, you go on," I explained. My chains disappeared.

"I...I don't love anyone," Ladybug said. The chains tightened. She let out a gasp and winced a little.

"You can tell the truth m'lady... I'll be alright," I assured her.

"I... I can't do this..." Ladybug said. The chains tightened even more. "Ow!"

"Please, m'lady. If you just tell the truth, you'll be okay and we can go defeat the villain. Do you love more than one person or something?" I asked her.

"I can't answer that..." Ladybug replied. The chains tightened once again. "Aah! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" Her voice sounded so pained that I almost wanted to cry.

"Who are the people or person that you love?" I asked. At this point, I didn't care whether or not if she loved me. I was just concerned for her safety.

"I love..." Ladybug started. "...............You... Chat Noir..." I was very shocked by this. She actually loves me.

The chains disappeared to reveal that her wrists were cut and bleeding.

"Ladybug... You're... You're bleeding," I told her. She looked down at her wrists as if she had just now noticed it.

"Oh, my... I didn't even notice. I was so caught up in-" Ladybug started, but I cut her off.

"Stop. You'll be fine. I promise," I reassured her. I wanted her to know that I cared very deeply for her. I had never been so serious with her in my life.

"Okay," she said.

"So, it was the truth?" I asked. Ladybug nodded.

"It was...or else I would still be in the chains. I almost didn't admit it. If I hadn't, I would have bled to death. I'm already bleeding quite a bit," she replied. I realized she was right. She would have died if she didn't admit it. Then another thought struck me like a bullet. She was afraid to admit that she loved me.

"Were you afraid to admit it...that you love me?" I asked to confirm my thoughts.

"... Yeah..." Ladybug admitted.

"You don't have to be afraid to confess your feelings for me," I said.

"I guess not. Especially since I know that you love me too. Adrien could never love me. I'm just a clumsy, quirky girl who trips over her own feet..." Ladybug explained.

"Maybe...but you're also kind, brave, beautiful, sweet, encouraging, amazing... The list goes on! You are the perfect girl for me. I don't want anything to happen to you. I would give my life for your safety. I would do anything for you. I care about you," I explained. Ladybug looked surprised by my words.

"Wow, Chat... I didn't know your feelings for me were this deep," Ladybug said. She had tears in her eyes. She looked flattered by my words.

"I have a question for you..." I said. I wasn't sure if she would say yes, but I could hope.

"Yeah?" Ladybug asked.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked.

And that, my friend, is the end of the book... No, it's not. I'm just kidding. That's the end of the chapter. I warned you about the feels. I cried while writing this. The feels... Well, cliffhanger y'all. Please comment, vote, and enjoy! If you follow me, I will follow you back! Bug out!🐞
