I am not meant to be couped up and confined.
I need to feel the wind in my face,
I need my feet to leave the ground,
And to see the endless sky surround me.
I need to hear the stars whispering their secrets,
Feel the night wrap me in its embrace.
I need to be followed everywhere with the crisp smell of trees and dirt,
And to laugh along with the mountains.
I need to be free from society's rules and traditions,
Somewhere where differences cause things to thrive,
And words don't mean a thing.
I need to listen only to instinct and reason,
To never take the beauty around me for granted,
And to accept that things happen for a reason.
I need to Live.
