Full Summary

Laken Reese Stilinski is the older twin sister of Mieczyslaw "Stiles" Stilinski and the eldest daughter of Noah and Claudia Stilinski. Growing up, Laken was spoiled, getting everything she wanted because her father was happy that she was his only daughter, although her mother favored Stiles more than her only daughter.

In Kindergarten, Lake met Jackson Whittemore and the two became best friends. The two of them did everything together, from play dates on the weekends to sharing snacks during lunch time. Then in third grade, the twins became best friends with Scott McCall, and suddenly Laken had a non-biological brother and Scott and Stiles did, and still do, everything they could to protect her from anything and anyone. 

When the twins were ten years old, their mother was diagnosed with Frontotemproal Dementia. During a visit, Claudia was convinced that her twins were trying to kill her, resulting in their mother attacking them. The attack on the twins took a big tole on them, Laken more than Stiles, causing her too lose trust in people. Eventually, Claudia succumbed to her illness, Stiles and Laken being in the room when she died. 

During her sixth grade year, Laken really changed as she went into middle school. Her attitude changed a little, and so did her choice of clothing. She didn't dress in the pink dresses that her mother would almost always make her wear, instead she dressed more in ripped jeans and band t-shirts, trading her heels for converses. 

In seventh grade, Laken and Jackson thought they had feelings for each other, but they soon came to realize that they loved each other more like brother and sister more than anything in the world. Laken's actually the main reason Jackson and Lydia are together.

Going into their Freshman year of High School, the two best friends didn't want to look like idiots, so they were each other's first time just to get it done and out the way. A week into freshman year, Laken met Lydia Martin and introduced the strawberry blonde to Jackson and loved the though of them being together. All through freshman year, Laken was more popular than her twin brother and Scott, and everyone questioned why if she hung out with Jackson and Lyida why she hung out with Stiles and Scott. And she tells everyone the same thing over and over again, their her brothers, even if Scott isn't her blood brother, and she wouldn't stop being friend with them for anything in the world. 

Now it's her Sophomore year, and Laken's life is going to change drastically. Her best friend/brother gets bit by in the middle of the night by a werewolf. Laken is about to discover that someone is capable of loving her, even when she doesn't love herself, and she'll find that love in Derek Hale, the man her brother and best friend hate, even though he's trying to help Scott to the best of his ability. 

Can Laken make it through Sophomore year without going crazy? Will she finally let someone through the walls she's spent years building up? Will Derek break through them even though Laken's trying to push him away? Will she become apart of the supernatural world just like her best friend, or is she already apart of it? Those are just some of the questions that Laken's asking herself.
