It was the second week of fall. Alexander Montgomery, together with Hera Monteiro, went on a vacation at the Gothics Mountain, still in the borders of New York. They planned this vacation for months for they wanted to escape reality and unwind.

It was pretty hard to make Hera's parents approve of this vacation thingy because of the dangers with it, but after a few dramas, they made her parents approve.

"Mom, I swear I'll behave. Also, the cabin that we're staying in is owned by Alex's parents." Hera said, trying to reason out. She gave her best smile to her parents knowing that they could not resist her.

Her mom, sighed.

"Just make sure that you won't do things that will endanger your life, Hera"

The packing of things were by far the most enjoyable. Hera was so excited that she took almost half of her closet inside her pack bag.

"How about these?" She asked Alex and wondered why he isn't responding. She was about to get mad but when she saw him, she melted. He already fell asleep. He had been at Hera's house since morning because he wanted to help her pack. What actually happened was that, he fell asleep while Hera was choosing what to and not to bring.

"Wake up, Alex!" She shouted, but Alex was in deep sleep. Annoyed, she put everything she thought she could use. Whatever. She thought.

Tomorrow came by so fast. Alexander went to Hera's house at 5:30 in the morning, bringing with him two coffees. He beeped as he arrived at Hera's house and minutes later, the front door opened and Hera went out bringing a big shoulder bag and a square-sized pillow that has Baymax's face printed on it. Her parents, Mrs. Haley and Mr. Lucas Monteiro followed Hera on her way out of the house. Alexander greeted her parents and they all bid their goodbyes. Hera got inside the car and smiled sweetly as Alexander handed the coffee to her.

"Thanks, babe" Hera said. "Is this my favorite coffee?" She asked. Her eyes twinkling in excitement.

"As always, your highness" He answered.

Alex was about to turn the engine on when someone knocked at his window side. He looked at Hera's blank expression and later on, opened the window.

"Yes?" He asked to a girl with a short blonde hair. She smiled awkwardly and looked at Hera.

"Where are you guys headed to?" She asked.

"Gothics Mountain." He replied. The girl just nodded and bid her goodbye to the both of them.

Alex closed his window and turned to Hera who has a confused expression written all over her face.

"Weird. Why is she here?" Hera asked. Alex just shrugged and turned the engine on.

They travelled for almost three hours before they arrived in a secluded place in Gothics Mountain. They stayed inside the cabin that Alexander's family owned. As Hera was arranging their things, she found a small sized picture of a girl. She took a closer look of the picture and realized it was someone she knew.

'Lily Roberts? Why is her picture still in here?'

She looked at Alexander outside the window, who was chopping woods. She was nervous, afraid of what she will find out. It's just a picture.

'Maybe it was years ago and he haven't noticed it.'

She thought. In order to get her mind off with what she saw, Hera made a dinner for the two of them. While cooking, her phone vibrated. It was a call from an unknown number. She answered the call.

"Hello? Who is this, please?" She asked while stirring the gravy she's making for the beef steak.

"It's Conner. Conner Steel. How are you, Hera?" She stiffened.

'How did he get my number?' She thought.

"I-uhm" Stuttering, she breathed heavily.

"Hello?" Conner asked again.

"Hera, i dreamt of you last night. In my dream, you died. I'm not saying it will happen. I'm just saying that I want you to take good care of yourself. Be safe, Hera" He said.

Hera was confused and was about to answer him, when suddenly, she heard footsteps and knew it was Alexander.

"Baby, who are you talking to?" Alexander asked confusingly.

Startled, Hera ended the call and turned to look at Alexander.

"Nothing babe. Wrong number" She lied, not wanting to have misunderstandings.

Conner Steel has always been in love with Hera. His world kind of revolved in her. Even though Hera's taken, he never thought about stopping. Instead, he was even more protective of her. There was a time when Hera and Alex had a date, Conner was secretly following them. It was creepy, ofcourse. That was the sole reason why Alex hated Conner.

With what Conner said, Hera was puzzled.

It was only his dream. Dreams don't come true. She thought.

Unconvinced, Alexander walked towards Hera and grabbed the phone from her. He examined the phone number and just shrugged. He realized it was really an unknown number. Or so he thought.

"By the way, dinner's ready" Hera said trying to act lively as she scooped the gravy from the sauce pan and slowly poured the gravy to the smoking beef steak.

Alex smiled from ear to ear. It was his favorite especially if Hera was the one who cooked it.

"Smells good and I know it will taste good. Looks like we already have a chef here" Alexander complimented.

Hera laughed and readied the table. As they were eating dinner, Hera cannot prevent herself from thinking about the picture, so she planned to talk to Alexander about it. She put her spoon and fork down.

"Alex" She started. Alex stopped eating and looked at her, puzzled.

"Why aren't you calling me baby, now?" He asked and even pouted. She laughed softly.

"Baby, I want to ask you about something" She said, unsure. Alexander drank his water. He cleared his throat.

"What is it, baby?" He asked, trying to act normal. He already had a bad feeling about this. "I saw a picture inside your bag. It was—" She was cut off by Alexander.

"Lily's?" He asked, but sounded more like making sure. Hera nodded slowly.

"Baby, it was..." He stopped, looked like he's thinking, which got Hera nervous.

"It was nothing, Hera" He continued and smiled at her. She must not know anything. It's better off this way.

Hera, being considerate and understanding as she was, nodded and forced a fake smile.

"Okay, continue your dinner." She said weakly as she continued to eat her dinner, even though she already lost her appetite.
