Merida's POV

My breath was caught into knots as I saw the familiar place.

The place where we move after Uncle and Aunt died.

Not exactly in their home but in the same neighborhood.

Surprisingly it is still a peaceful neighborhood.

Which is why we chose to move in.

But I also hate it.

IF something bad ever happens.

No one but no one would say a word even if it is heart wrenching.

Toothless descended on the roof of my home making me get up but stop.

Too quiet.

Even for this neighborhood.

I readied my bow and slowly went to the back door.

Did the two Q's as I entered the house.

Quiet and quickly.

There was no one inside.

In the pit of my stomach I knew that something was wrong.

Terribly wrong.

Some of the furniture was moved around.

A few even flipped over.

Sound of my footsteps echoed.

None of this is sitting well.

Another footsteps made me stop and point my knife at the person.

Hiccup's eyes widen making me release my breath.

His eyes fixed on the knife making me bring it down.

We resumed to going towards the kitchen and even before that I stopped.

Blood.

Small drops, some big and some in the shape of footsteps.

Pitch found out...

There's no explanation.

Tears threatened to fall but none came out.

Sharp quick breaths is what I could hear.

Before I even stepped in Hiccup blocked my view.

"Let me see"I said wide eyed.

I'm going to regret not seeing them.

He didn't move making me shove him and cover my mouth.

Firm arms is what stopped me from falling to my knees.

This can't happen...

No.

No.

No.

No.

No.

No.

No.

No.

No...

Nightmare.

Nightmare.

Just a nightmare.

I'll wake up.

I'll wake up.

I'll wake up... I'll be in Hicc's arms sleeping.

The lifeless bodies I saw, they're not them.

It's just a cruel joke the triplets are playing.

They're going to jump.
