It has been 2 long days and I don't know if I can go on any longer, yes it would be great to see my mother, but this journey is taking its tole to the extreme. We've walked through the terrible weather, one minute it's over 100 degrees, the next it's below zero. We haven't pack the necessary equipment for this journey, and I don't think we can make it much further. My father is old and I can tell this is taking a tole on his mental and physical health, but he is doing it for me so I don't want to complain.

"Dad, are you okay? It isn't too late to go back and, I know how important this is for you to get me to my mother but dad, we both know we can't and..."

"Be quite Lithian. We aren't turning back, you made a big deal out of never seeing your mother and how you could save her, so it's your time to learn what you can do," My father snapped.

What was that supposed to mean? 'Time to learn what you can do' I can do a lot of things, and he knows that, but what does he mean...

"Dad, what do you mean, I can do plenty of things."

He didn't answer my question, he was rather quite the entire way to Days Point where we were camping the night. Father tells me that this a little more than half way to Pema. I'm afraid to go there, I'm not strong or smart enough to get there.

Later that night we heard screams and groans in the night, I jumped up, fearing it might be another Cerberus, those wicked Three- Headed demon dog. Dad was lucky he was able to turn it to gold before it got us, but we might not be so lucky this time. We walked out of the cabin we borrowed from the Sheep man here, and saw exactly what I feared, two Cerberus'. Their mouths drooling, large paws clawing into the earth. I could feel there hot breath breathing on me. Before I knew it I heard my father scream my name.

"Lithian, up here! Stay calm or they'll get you too! Now here's what you have to do, relax and breathe. Now, what do you think can kill this animal?" He recited calmly

"Dad! I don't know! What are we going to do! Oh my gosh dad we're done for! I'll never meet mom or get married and have my own children or read the next book it the X- ray for dummies! Dad you have to turn it to gold again, you have to!" I screamed.

"Lithian, listen to me! You are the daughter of a god. You can do this, what do you think can kill this creature or draw it away?"

"Oh, dad I don't know! Maybe, maybe, maybe a... What about food? Will that work? I think we have some extra in the cabin, I'll be right back!"

"NO! Lithian, wait. Think of what food you would feed this creature... Think about it really hard..."

As I stood there in amazement, how was imagining what would save my father do me any good? I was deep in the thought a large piece of meat to throw for the animal, it appeared in my two hands!

"Dad! How did you do that? Why didn't you do this before?" I screamed in excitement.

"Lith that was all you, now no more time to talk, throw it!"

I couldn't think only react and that meat went flying for miles, I watched the dog drop my father and go chasing after it.

"Dad! Are you alright? I'm so sorry. I didn't know it would drop you, I didn't know it would take you," I cried.

"Lithian, it wasn't your fault. Did you see the tag on the dog? It's property of Jade Stone. She knows we're coming." The solemn look on his face told me we were in trouble.

After that encounter we decided to keep going, too dangerous to stay and wait till' morning.

Eventually we came to a broken, rusted and flickering lighted sign, it said Pema, The Place of Dreams. There was a little building past the sign, it looked like a city hall, but I wouldn't call this a city. We walked through the large stone doors and saw an ugly blue nymph. She stared at us as we walked in... You could tell we didn't belong here.
