Aka Minagi (continued) :

She was absolutely splendid! A great perfomance! Also, for a girl, she pulled a pretty hard trick. She is totally amazing and praiseworthy! But why...?

"OK, that's it for today. You all can do anything that you like, just don't leave the field." The coach yelled. As soon as he uttered those words, everyone scattered away. "So Minagi, what do you wanna do? And, what was that thing with Ichimatsu all about?" Yuto demanded to know. If only it wasn't her who saved me. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Meko and that ferocious friend of her walking away. "Well, we all who have some sort of connection with her, ought to help her... don't ya think so? For now, let's go and sit somewhere, so that we can chat for a while?" I replied. It's not that I'm fond of chatting or that I'm a non athlete or anything. For some reason, I feel that Ichimatsu is acting as bit strangely towards me. I mean, she is behaving quite indifferently, not the way one would after meeting the criminal whom he or she had recently helped to escape from the clutches of law. Rather, I'm really being treated as a totally normal person. It's possible that this is just my imagination, but... I really am thankful for her help yesterday. That's why, I really want to be of a little help to her during my short stay in this school. After that I won't have any connections with her. I would also be able to get over this feeling of gratitude for her that I've been feeling since yesterday...

Seriously, I was ready to make my move and stab that shitty old geezer, that heck of a principal. But my carelessness and sense of duty got in the way. A mother, who was walking on the slightly slanted road was clumsy enough to let the perambulator, along with her baby in it roll down the slope. And as usual, she started crying out for help. Being a soft and kind hearted foolish man, I was led by my sense of duties. I did become the hero of the day... but alas, I still had that butter knife in my hand which I had picked up in a hurry for my assassination attempt. And in no time I was running, with an angry mob chasing after me. But why did I have to bump into her of all people? Well, she did save me though.. but, why her? No one in their right mind would be behaving around me like she is, especially after I threaten her. Anyways, it's rare to be saved by someone so I should at least try and make it up to her.

Sitting at an audible distance from Ichimatsu, I casually begin a convo with Yuto in a low voice. I wanted to find out more about this girl and why she was behaving so strangely. I could hear the fierce girl speak "What's up with that weirdo? As if he wanted to make fun of you in front of everyone.. such a jerk..." Weirdo? Jerk? What the heck!?!?
"Yeah" Meko started "..he is a bit weird. And the worst thing is that his seat is right beside me" Is my presence that troublesome? "but still, he seems to be a good guy.. but if he keeps behaving like that, he might get into trouble later. But.., you sorta went overboard too ya know? I know that you care for me.. but, keep yourself in check Sakako.. the last thing I want is my BFF getting treated as an outcast."
"Sorry... but, what was it that you wanted to speak to me about?" Sakako asked quickly changing their topic of conversation.., probably to avoid her best friend from nagging.
"The thing is, that Aka guy seems to know me from somewhere... but I can't remember him at all..."

That's why? She has forgotten about me? How can anyone forget such a handsome and cool assassin like me? In that case, I think I should speak about it with her.

"Hey, Meko.. we need to have a bit of chat" I said sternly while approaching her.
"W-what? Were you listening?" For a split second it seemed that those expressionless eyes of hers held some sort of anxiety and fear in them. But they transformed back immediately.
"We need to talk" I said again, more firmly this time.
"OKs" she replied with an expression that suggested that she was extremely bored.
But I need to make her remember who I am. These small details were of least importance to me right now. Glancing back at Yuto and Sakako, I said "Alone".
"Okay" She replied again with that same bored gazed.

As soon as Yuto and Sakako were at an inaudible distance, I started..."I heard you saying to your friend that you don't remember me" with a pause to judge her expressions, I continued ".. is that true?"
"It's is.. I'm sorry" She said with a quivering voice. But her expression remained exactly the same.
"Then I have no choice would you like to know?" She nodded a little.
So I told her everything. Including the butter knife part and how she walked away. She listened to the whole thing that I had to say.
"So you were that assassin? Good to be your classmate" all of a sudden, she seemed to be slightly happy. "But,.." she continued. "Was that the reason why you have been acting like that? Because you're feeling grateful?" She asked her expression always remaining the same.. but her voice now a bit Stern. What the hell? I didn't tell her about the me being grateful part.. then how...?
" listen carefully. I don't know why I saved you. But you don't have to be grateful for that silly reason. Bye" and with that, she walked away. 'What an interesting girl..' I thought to myself. 'Okay, if she says so. I won't bother her anymore. Now, let's get back into business. I need more info on the old geezer if I want myself to succeed.'

With that, the school be rang. It was time for us to move onto our next class.
