2 months has passed and Jiwon was surprised to find herself not sulking and feeling depressed or whatever. All she knows was that she wasn't going to have any relationships soon, and that's all she wanted: to stay away from hurt. And she definitely won't be looking for the guy that, well, she won't be looking for Hyungjin, or was it Hyujin, Hyunjin? Whatever, she won't be looking for him. Why would she? Raewoo was just crazy.
But lately, Jiwon was feeling weird with her body. She was feeling something changed; she just can't seem to put her tongue in it. Okay, she knows that 'something' did change, after that night, she wasn't normal anymore. But really, something was different. There would be times that she would wake up in the morning, feeling very, very sick then she would run to the bathroom to throw up, but nothing would come out. There were also times that the things that she used to like would irritate her. Like citrus, her favorite scent. Before she couldn't last a day without the smell of citrus, now, she would vomit if she smelled one.
She once complained about this to Raewoo, and what she said made her think.
"OMG, Jiwonnie, you might be pregnant!" she said, but Jiwon just laughed. But now...'What if she's right?' she thought.
The ringing of her phone stopped her from her thoughts and even more when she saw that it was her mom calling her.
"Mom?"
"Jiwonnie, where are you now?"
"Home. Why?"
"Are you free tonight?"
"Tonight?" Jiwon looked at her calendar to check if she has any plans for tonight--Oh great! Nothing. "Uhm, nothing mom. Why?"
"Let's eat out tonight." her mom said it in a tone that made Jiwon think she had no choice.
"Uh, okay mom. Where?"
"At some restaurant. I'll have you picked up."
"But mom--"
"No buts. See you later!"
"Mom--" as always, she hangs up when she didn't want to continue the conversation anymore.
That night, while waiting for their family driver to pick her up, Jiwon felt the need to lie in her bed and sleep. She was feeling so lazy that she wanted to just lie and sleep all day and night. Just as she was just about to call her mom and tell her she won't be coming, the driver came and left her with no choice but to go.
When she arrived the fancy restaurant, Jiwon was surprised that her family wasn't the only ones on their table; they had company.
"Good evening" she greeted and bowed to her parents and their guests.
"Jiwon, you're here!" her mom said in relief, "sit here" she motioned beside her and Jiwon sat there.
"Jiwon, they are Mr. and Mrs. Park, they are your future in laws" Jiwon's father said that made her look at them in shock. Future in laws? Are they serious? Just as she was just about to ask, someone familiar walked closer to them and bowed, "sorry I'm late" the young man said as he sat beside-to whom Jiwon believed was-his mother. The young man smiled and bowed to Jiwon and his family, "I'm Hyunjin" he said politely, and Jiwon remembered; Hyunjin, Park Hyunjin.
"Hi Jiwon" he said and Jiwon felt that her cheeks burn with embarrassment, he remembers her? What if her parents found out about...?
"You know each other?" Jiwon's mom asked.
Hyunjin smiled, "Not really. We met just once, so maybe we just know each other’s name. Right, Jiwon?"
Jiwon smiled awkwardly and slowly nodded. Food was Jiwon's savior as it was served before her parents react to her acquaintance with Hyunjin.
