"~ding ding ding, this is just to say today is the first day of science.~" Well I gotta go. Emma makes enemies with teachers easily because she is always a minute or two late. She's trying to not do that this school year. As Emily and Amber doged kids in the hall. Emma loves science, she has almost all day. So she is anxious to see who her knew teacher is.

Suddenly, umph. Down. It was DJ and Reke. They had shoved them onto the nearest locker. "Ow! Hey what was that for? I did nothing all day!!" mutters Emma. "Good job, stay confident." congratulates Amber. "Mandy says you hated on her live stream last night. We came to get ya back." snarls DJ. "Plus you dorks are the funnest to pick on."teases Reke. "Tell you didn't then walk off." whispers Amber. "I did not?. " whispers Emma, (a terrible liar). Emma quickly walked off freaking out over how she'll be late to science on her first day.

"Sorry science started late this..." says Mr.James, interupted by the load creak of an opening door. "I'm so, so sorry I'm late. Something stopped me on the way." Says Emma nervously. "No problem, however if this is an everyday thing then I will eventually give you tons of homework or detention. Just kidding I'll only do the homework thingy." laughs Mr.James "I'm Mr.James your new science teacher. Have a seat over by..." "Jasper, I'm Jasper." answers Jasper quickly. Emma hurries to sit, almost dropping all her stuff. "Mr.James seems nice. He isn't strict at all really." whispers Amber. Emma gets all her stuff situated and notices that her name was already on the desk.

"As I was saying, sorry class started late. We needed to finish setting up. As you may have noticed I still have a box of things in the corner. Don't get into it, that stuff is not for now. So I put science textbooks in your desks. Flip to page 12." says Mr.James.

"There are no books in here." answers about 5 of the kids in science. Ya. What books, there is just a bunch potion bottles containing strange liquids. Mine is blue, red and magenta." says Tomm the silly kid in class. "Mine are orange, green and grey." Blurts out Jake. "I have a turquoise, purple and..." says Luke before he gets cut off by the teacher. "Opps, I forgot I told them to donate the science books. We won't need in our class. Yes, you are?" asks Mr.James to a kid who raised their hand. "I'm Alex. How will do science without a textbook? We've never used anything but a textbook or something like a textbook. " asks Alex, the girl who sits across from Jasper and two ahead of Emma. "Well I was just about to explain that. But first I need to let you know that I am very patient and ok with questions but please don't interrupt or talk when I am. So about the textbooks. In this class we will do experiments. The experiments will tell us the things in that the book would tell us. I have learned that doing teaches kids better than reading about doing." says Mr.James excitedly.

"Now I shall explain the vials in your desk. Find a person who has one, only one of the same color vials and they are your partners. Once you find them come to me and I shall give you a table number. Also two tips, be very careful when carrying the vial or vials. Second pay attention to the labels they will be important later. Their will be instructions on the table. Also the tables have lots of science equipment. It has burners, pots, vials, water, trash, bags, paper, some chemical things, and other mixtures. Don't play around with them. Once your down carefully bring the vial to me and I will see which groups successfully made what they should've. Begin!" tells Mr.James. Everyone quickly gets up and all of a sudden you hear people shouting "Who has this and I Have have that." all over the place. Eventually almost everyone is at a table in the back.

Emma was with Jasper. "So what do the instructions say?" asks Jasper trying to look over Emma's shoulder. "Well it says mix the barium peroxide with the sulfuric acid." says Emma. "Did you know Sulfuric Acid has some molecular formula of H2SO4?" asks Amber to Emma. "Hmm, no I didn't that's interesting." responds Emma. "Huh?" asks Jasper. "Oh nothing. It says the barium peroxide settles to the bottom and the mixture and this should make hydrogen peroxide. Jasper and Emma wait anxiously for it to settle now wondering what they'll do with it. When it finally looks done they read onto the next step. "Ok it says pour water into a flask."reads Jasper. -BOOM-! They heard a loud sound from a table behind them. "Oh gosh what did we do?! This is a mess!" Shouts Alex and Jake. "Calm down you just didn't read the instructions right. This will most likely happen to a lot of groups." explains Mr.James. "Carry on." "Now it says dissolve some potassium hydroxide in it." continues Jasper. "After that put iodine crystals into a flask and heat it on a burner. Afterwards we must cool it down." reads Emma. They find things to let it cool. "Now we filter the potassium iodide." continues Emma. -SHHHH-! Another table in front of them boils water over and it almost explodes. "Ugh seriously, the second group, we should've won!" yells Blake (the tall kid in the class). "Next boil a little bit of filtered solution and repeat the precipitating of the potassium iodide." says Jasper a little confused. They start turning the burner on.

"Oh, wait, NO! Don't..." yells Madeline. Too late, -BOOM-! "...Ugh, pour that in." "Oh, sorry I did." whispers Tomm kind of jokingly. "I KNOW YOU DID!" shouts Madeline sortof frustrated. "Calm down it was a mistake, right?" asks Mr.James. "Yes of course." answers Tomm slightly snickering."I thought it was a different chemical bottle thing." "Ugh he knows nothing!" mutters Madeline.

"Wow, this they must be doing something way different, ours isn't that difficult." laughs Jasper. "Hehehe. He thinks this is crazy simple, I could tell he was confused earlier." giggles Amber. "I know write sortof odd. Who is he trying to impress?" responds Emma. "Who are you talking to?" asks Jasper. "Oh no one. What's next?" asks Emma. "Oh it just says..." -SHHHH-! "Aw man we almost had then I accidently spilled into the mixture." groans Andy (a nerd). "If I hadn't made it BOIL OVER." "...As I was saying it says to wait to mix them and tell the teacher you're done." explains Jasper. "Oh, alright" says Emma excitedly. She quickly raised her hand. "Yes?" asks Mr.James. "Oh I just wanted to say we're done." responds Emma and Jasper at the same time. They start laughing, then everything is awkward.

"Ok now class is almost over. We have one group to finish so we can go outside and finish their experiment. Please bring your two finished things." "Ok, we will." says Jasper. They hurry outside. "Ok now come over here and set the flat vial on the table. Now pour the other one in and quickly back away." explains Mr.James. "Ok." says Jasper. He pours it in. Suddenly it erupts and foam spews and grows. It is steaming tons and tons. They go inside and write down what the experiment was. Everyone else tries to finish their projects.

"Ok class sorry time to go. Oh and by the way don't try this at home this stuff can be very dangerous." says Mr,James sadly. "Awwwww." whins half the kids in class. "Yes Emma can I help you?" asks Mr.James noticing Emma walked up to him. "Oh I was just saying is the explaining our homework?" asks Emma. "Oh no that is for here." answers Mr.James. "Ok then. Well see you tomorrow." replies Emma.
